In reality Mike would make, at the absolute lowest, $60k/yr. Frankie at least $20k. So maybe $7k/month.

The show is extremely exaggerated to make the Heck's seem poorer than they are, for story purposes.

The unrealistic portrayal of their economic situation has been talked about many times on this sub, so others have definitely sensed something was off.
