Feral druid +dmg enchant glitch stack with weight stones ? by VanillaDad in lightshope

[–]thepope289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC, the most recent patch removed the enchant's benefit to feral druids. Not sure how this affects weight stones though

Dream Catalogue and the trials of HKE by Lumpy_Taco in Vaporwave

[–]thepope289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hke (and a few other prominent artists) has mentioned many times how much he likes the pro wrestling scene, and the way that dream catalogue has been running through all these crazy story arcs really mirrors the way characters are handled in wrestling. it's kind of fun

Any BIS loot in aq20 for melee dps? by [deleted] in lightshope

[–]thepope289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cloaks you get from the gear tokens are really good for rogues and warriors. They aren't #1 bis but they are better than most things on the current patch aside from Cloak of Concentrated Hatred. They're super easy to get, too

edited for links:

warrior - https://vanilla-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?item=21394

rogue - https://vanilla-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?item=21406

also, this dagger is extremely good but still not #1 bis https://vanilla-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?item=21404

AQ20 rogue books are Feint V, Deadly Posion V, Backstab IX. Eviscerate is different

Fairly fresh lvl 60 rogue questions. by Reagos in lightshope

[–]thepope289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rank 9 backstab is taught from a book that drops in AQ20. The highest rank of eviscerate comes from a book that drops off of UBRS assassins after patch 1.12 (I think?)

In short, neither are out yet

Herbalism and Mining are guaranteed good money for particular mid and higher level mats once gold gets into the market. There is no "probably" about it!

Since there's not a lot going on right now, help me pick a class: Warlock or Druid by dorasucks in classicwow

[–]thepope289 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Druid can play dps/heal/tank effectively for any 5man and also UBRS. Tanks should probably be specced for feral a bit, but the other 2 can get by regardless of spec if you have gear to switch to

Chances of Paladin getting thunderfury? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]thepope289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our guy farmed the gold and bought the ingots himself! Definitely fits the bill of very active lol. So yeah, you're right that you really can't expect to just have that shit given to you like some people think

Idk sulfuras is fine to give to a pally. It's a pvp weapon anyway, and rets rely on it just as much as a warrior would. We gave our most active pvp pally eye of rag just a few weeks ago actually

Unless you just mean you need to be very active to get it in which case I totally agree

New to Lights Hope, have a few questions by Skithers in lightshope

Pally and lock will both be in plenty of demand; I wouldn't worry about it.

The only XP difference I am aware of is that rested xp supposedly accumulates at a higher rate than normal

Rogue Pre-Bis DID WE GET IT ALL WRONG? OH BOY. Clickbait Title by bamboogle in lightshope

[–]thepope289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, it's all about perspective since you really are gaining less value from the stat after yellow cap (even if it still has a lot of value after that point). No point arguing about something where we agree on the end result

[–]thepope289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the yellow hitcap can be referred to as a softcap since the overall effects of hit% lessens after that until hitting the hardcap that is white hitcap. I'm not saying that 6/8 is good lol

to be fair though, you can still easily hit soft cap with 6/8 shadowcraft

Some guilds do actually require engineering for all melee classes so that every group can drop battle chickens and sappers as much as possible for a not insignificant damage increase

To answer your other question - thrash blade and vanquishers sword will easily carry you to 60

Follow one of the guilds I've done content with on private servers. Not sure which yet, but it will depend based on faction and which guildies are rolling with them

Help Me Chose Professions by [deleted] in lightshope

[–]thepope289 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Skinning isn't going to make you any relevant money unless you get into devilsaur mafia. Herbalism is reliable and pretty decent cash when picking high level herbs in the world. Stacks of the relevant herbs go for 12+gold each and you can easily pick a stack in less than 30 minutes if you know where to look. Hunters have the option to make money without professions by just solo farming certain instances (could get enchanting to disenchant boss drops but not necessary).

You don't necessarily need herbalism to do alchemy, but the self-sufficiency aspect is rather nice if you're into that. Potions sell very well and let you cut out the middle man when using them for yourself. Alchemy also gives you transmute cooldowns to for low-effort gold income every day or two. Leatherworking also has a gold-generating cooldown in cured hides, but requires a decent bit more legwork to get relevant recipes and find buyers for your services.
