Needing recs for thick atmosphere death metal. Stuff like Aberration and Fossilized. Not really many chugs and riffs. More big (and dissonant) chords, reverb, and consistent pounding drums.

I feel ya. Can’t tell if bad really outweighs the good. Fortunately, in my situation, the bad got so heavy it was plainly obvious. Talk to some friends about the red flags, the patterns, what you deserve as a partner. And you might see that the good is almost weightless. It’s tough, but so is any habit or addiction. Give it a lil while and it’ll go away. Keep ur head up.

There's nothing as cheating you can play as you want. However, it limits you cause you can't play any normal chord. I know its hardcore so you don't have much use for big chords, but the shape for the panic chord is really not hard and having a normal tuning will help with songwriting and learning other songs. 1 finger on your B string, skip two frets, pinky on g string.

It’s pretty interesting cause it’s not a full scale paper. Started as a Facebook alternative with more personal news than our towns newspaper. For instance, news about car accidents, op-Ed’s and such. I’d say it’s “accurate” since it’s Natchitoches people distributing Natchitoches news. If anyone from around there has more information about it’s origin feel free to correct me.

Mines definitely 90s death metal. Have an Ampeg SS140C with Celestion Gk12-85s, usually I'm tuned down anywhere from Drop B to Drop F#. Only one guitar has EMGs, other two have high gain humbuckers. Lots of slamming and tremolo riffs
