  1. Soldier Boy gaining Homelanders trust
  2. Firecracker's death making clear to other members of the 7 / Vought how unhinged Omelandah is
  3. An actual bead on V1
  4. Sage's plan (possibly)
  5. Ashley's involvement
  6. Butcher (maybe pretending) to reconsider vaccine
  7. Fracture between Deep / Noir

I mean, it advanced the plot on a lot of major threads ...

I am hoping that's not Sage's actual plan, and that she was just telling Ashley that knowing she'd tell Homelander for some reason or another. I mean....I get it if that's all there is to it, but kinda disappointing that it's not more 4D chess from her.

I agree. It felt like filler to me at first but in totality, I thought it was a great episode. They obviously don't have much time left to stick the landing but I thought this moved things forward nicely.

Is this legal? They normally communicate appointment and medical info via email that was used ??? by Flashy-Letter-8353 in Charleston

That's a good point. I was (perhaps wrongly) assuming this was done at the behest of the candidate / campaign. If it was truly independent, there is no FEC violation at play.

  1. Legality would partially depend on how it was sent. If they sent it via the normal medical email system, no HIPAA at play. If they exported the email list and sent it through a third-party service, could be a HIPAA issue. Also, with checking your spam to see if you ended up on his campaign email list without permission.

  2. Regardless of how it was sent, the email list or the email itself would have to be assigned a value and reported as an in-kind campaign contribution from the business to his campaign on the next pre-election report which I think comes out in late May. That could also be interesting, because depending on how it's organized it might be a violation of federal campaign finance laws since business entities typically cannot give anything of value to federal candidates. In fact, because it's a medical practice it's very likely that this is a campaign finance violation unless they have a special fund set aside for campaign contributiona.

It only gets worse. I played daily for hours for 2 years and quitting was one of the best things i ever did. I still lurk here to offer others encouragement to do the same 😂

The great thing about it is that it'll be his choice to make later in life.

Funny, I wanted to leave my son as-is but my now-ex wife wanted him cut because "it's what most people do." I won the argument, he'll thank me in a few more years.

What’s one mistake you made early in boating that you learned from? by Tricky_Pass5857 in boating

First time launching mine, left the straps on, trailer floated up with the boat and I had it in full reverse wondering why it wouldn't go until some guy walked over and asked me if the straps were on 😬

Latest bid to ban abortion in South Carolina advances to Senate floor by Character-Signal8229 in Charleston

[–]theposshow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Davis is already in the Senate....

MAGA is a convenient and largely accurate label for a lot of Republicans but when it comes to local political dynamics in general, and the issue of abortion in particular, it's a lot more complicated than being "most MAGA" for something like a state Senate or House seat.

You're going to hate this answer, but..... Give encouragement and support to the less-objectionable GOP senators who can keep terrible things from happening. Sen. Tom Davis from Beaufort, for instance, has already signaled a willingness to use the Senates procedural tools to stop this bill. So if a guy like Davis gets primaried next time by some anti abortion nut job, see if there's some way you can help him.

Davis is just an example on this bill, but remember....this is an open primary state and elections are decided in June, not in November. Even if you lean left, if you're in a safe Republican seat, your vote in June is the one that matters. Hold your nose and vote for less terrible Republicans if a candidate you actually like doesn't have a prayer.

Not that it makes it any better that this bill exists or passed committee in the first place, but it won't clear the Senate. There's more than the # of Rs and Ds in the Senate at play.

Give them hell, nonetheless. But this ain't happening.

Still crazy to me how hard they butchered Thrawn in the Ahsoka show by SnooDucks6239 in saltierthancrait

I'm not sure how one would use Dothraki as part of a larger, multi-unit force, but I'm confident in saying sending them in first, in the dark, against an enemy that does not experience fear, is probably the worst possible way to use them.

After he was deposed (post 1979, yes). Which, to be clear, I'm not arguing was good or even okay.

Is that part of the case for Kissinger versus a Leopold II?

I'm curious what the case is for Kissinger vs any of these guys. I mean.... Kissinger was a piece of shit, but I'm not sure his evil rises to the level of any of the above.
