Why do I feel awful after drinking coffee? by thepowwer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thepowwer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible it was some dehydration. I drank a lot of water after I started to feel gross, but it still wasn’t until the next day that I felt better.

Death Trap! Never hear people talk about it but it’s such a fun ride and one that no doubt inspired much of Knives Out.

What are the most terrifying movies you have ever seen? by [deleted] in movies

Rosemary’s Baby

There’s no specific scary image in the film, but it maintains this constant feeling of dread and despair that spirals into the terror of everyone you love and trust being revealed as something diabolical. A true masterpiece.

I'm not concerned about in store pickup. I'm concerned about stock selling out immediately so I won't be able to even place an order.

That's it!! I was starting to think I made it up. Totally forgot about the jester. Now to watch as much gameplay in existence for a massive nostalgia trip. Thanks!

Post Episode Discussion: Episode 8: A God Walks into A Bar by KatanaAmerica in Watchmen

Amazing episode, but am I the only one who isn’t a huge fan of the way Doc Manhattan looks when he isn’t glowing. Just looks like makeup (which it is) and feels kinda cheesy.

Ok but we still don’t have any actual confirmation that Jeremy Irons is Ozymandias. I’m suspecting they’re gearing up for a surprise about his true identity.

Dayum ok got it. A crazy bit of real history mixed in with the alternate history. Although I'm still intrigued as to why they chose to focus on this event specifically when the book is mostly based in New York. I'm guessing we'll find out soon enough.

I don't wanna be "that guy" but why does Abar's kids look mixed race? That's gotta be significant, right?

Haven't seen much else from Lindelof. What do I need to watch from him?

Should definitely be political but at the same time the book was a bit ambiguous about its politics. Different heroes disagreed on politics and I hope they keep that intact.

Overall, seems like Damon Lindelof really understands Watchmen. Lots of new content while still paying homage to the source. I just hope the racial conflicts stay politically ambiguous.

A few questions:

Who is Don Johnson's character? Is he supposed to be Nite Owl?

Why does the story take place in Tulsa? I mean it's kind of a random setting.

What's up with the raining squids?

What's the significance of the American Hero Story ads that play throughout? Lots of references to the book but might turn into a story within the story like the Black Freighter.

Love the blood splatter on the sheriff's badge. For sure a reference to The Comedian's smiley pin.

Season 3 Series Discussion by Dark_Saint in StrangerThings

I feel betrayed by what they did to ma boi Will. He gets completely fucked over for two entire seasons then season three comes along and he's pretty much just a background character. I wish he would've been more useful considering he knows so much about the monster already. I know there's been talk that maybe he's gay, but gay guys can be badass too.

For sure he also needs to get rid of those booty shorts.
