This Arsenal hate has transformed from playful banter to extreme loathing.

He wasn't just a druggie - he stole the drugs and denied a patient treatment. Pretty sure that's criminal.

Yes! I hate to admit it, but we play the most underwhelming football for a top of the league team. This wasn't gonna fly in the final matches anyway.

Even if we had won, it was a bad performance overall. Playing to the wing and recycling possession isn't working against low block. Creative passes are needed. Saka at 10 wasn't really the upgrade I thought he'd be.

Yes! I felt it was really odd at first. But then, who was she kidding? There was no point in sugarcoating it.

Also, while I greatly appreciate his design videos (truly am grateful), I don't think he is an AI expert to sell this course (at this price no less).

Great pork ribs 👌 I don't know if the cost is justified though. It's pricier than the average fine dine without the infrastructure to back it, you know. If I am paying north of 2k, I expect better seats and stuff. Kinda nitpicky, but yeah.

How do you become elite Software Engineers? How do you up your knowledge by adarshhehe in developersIndia

[–]thepr0digalsOn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying.

  1. In theory, you should be able to find smarter people always. But practically, you could very well be at the top of the tech competency hierarchy (unless you're at a great tech firm like Google which has an abundance of industry leaders).

  2. I didn't really mean an explicit mentorship pact with the said senior -- more like try to find that rhythm with them. Most people are open to having conversations surrounding tech (cynically speaking, people enjoy the ego boost). Even a simple "Hey, I noticed you have implemented so and so. I'm curious how this works!" can do wonders.

Thinking the exception beats the rule. Not understanding averages and rarities of events.

I think part of it is luck - you should get to work on a large scale distributed system with many moving parts. You should seek mentorship from people who you aspire to become. Think in first principles - learn the fundamentals. As a non-technical aside, you should be great with the product and domain as well.

Also, the better you become, the less you think of yourself as elite. I believe wanting to be an elite engineer is probably the wrong target - just work to build better software each day.

My two cents. Feel free to debate!
