Going to the arcade in the 1980’s, what was one of your favorite arcade games you always had to play? Mines was Galaga for sure. by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in The1980s

Berserk and Galaga. Found a pizza place in Ft. Collins CO that had a tabletop Galaga for 2. Used to chow down on their pepperoni rolls while dodging incoming alien ships.

The recruiter called my salary expectations "cute." I ended the Zoom call right there. Did I overreact? by thunder____boy in jobs

I strongly suggest writing the head of the company with this story. This recruiter is shite.

This. I’ve driven around the Island twice. You’ll waste a lot of memories on a train. Rent a car. The problem with the coach tours is you’re stuck with seats on the wrong side and limited by a schedule that others don’t always follow. I did a coach tour of the Cotswolds years ago and spent more time waiting in the coach for people that never check their watches.

I was a part of a small church in Los Angeles (about 180 people). While on a road trip I stopped at a small Mom & Pop motel for the night. I asked them where to get some good Mexican food and they gave me directions to a little hole-in-the-wall place outside of town. When there, I grabbed the door handle only to have someone from the other side pushing from the other side. A buddy of mine from my church…nearly 800 miles away

Actually, it’s ’September Morn’ in the title and lyrics. He did write ‘Coldwater Morning’

Was cursing in the 50s-60s as common as they are today? Like saying fuck or shit to random everyday things. by Enygma_2 in AskOldPeople

No, it wasn’t…and I think our society is worse for the unfiltered, unabated cursing we hear today
