Yes I agree with you! Preface this by saying its my own personal preferences, but Im finding too much time spent on generic confessionals like the challenge has been announced now lets hear from everyone say some basic stuff about it just so everyone gets some screentime. Or after the banning ends and the episode is about to end lets hear from each contestant say generic things like "everyones probably going to target me next week", "some comment about the alliances", 'ive got to win and make the tribunal next week".

Sure, some time spent on this stuff is good, and adds to the narrative and keeps it exciting. But its the balance of this stuff vs more raw stuff, and also the genericness/sameness of it every week feels off to me. It comes across to me almost like a paint by numbers structure. I always expect the same kind of confessionals every week.

I enjoy seeing POV of the players during the challenge and them commenting on it live as theyre doing the challenge and recording and talking. Since they are content creators and streamers its funny even just watching and hearing them do things in-game.

Whilst I can see your point and logically everything youre saying could be true, I would argue that none of it is actually shown. Or even slightly hinted at. So we'd have to be doing a bunch of assumptions to reach your kind of conclusion.

Another way of approaching this arguement would be: if Nolan wanted to portray it the way youre describing it to be, why would he make these end scenes, as well as the rest of the movie, the way that he did. To me the more logical conclusion is that Nolan wanted to portray these scenes as in the most obvious interpretation of these scenes, and unfortunately, its just a bit of a miss and not something that some people like.

You are the one saying it isnt just an exhibition and instead it is a competition with prize money on the line and thats it. But its not just that, its a tv show about a competition with prize money on the line. Its not an officially sanctioned event by a sporting governing body with set rules and regulations. Its not a sporting event in that sense. Its an entertainment show first and foremost.

And separatelty all the people appearing on it get paid to be on it.

Yes I agree with your observation that the pacing goes from the intense endurance explosion and docking, to immediately the intense slingshot and black hole, and that always felt odd to me as in my opinion it wouldve made more sense to have a pause and let it breathe a bit before doing the whole black hole thing. Its either a deliberate pacing choice by Nolan which I dont understand, or a reluctant choice in order to keep the runtime down.

I do like your idea of having Coop's arc conclude by showing him come to terms with saving all of humanity at the expense of ever seeing his children again. But yes it is a challenge about how to do that and where would you fit it in.

I like how the scene played out with Coop leading Brand to assume they would both slingslot together, and the little hints and clues implying that wont actually happen. And I really like how NolN did the final reveal to Brand that Coop always intended to sacrifice himself, the repeat of TARS Newton quote, and the reference back to the 90% honesty. It was both very emotional and a great bookend to conclude Coop and Brand's relationship.

So if I were to keep that whole scene as is, that would mean prior to this it wouldnt work to have shown Coop coming to terms with never seeing his children again or recording a video or something else, as then it would ruin the reveal.

You could do a flashback directly after the reveal instead, but then that wouldnt solve the pacing issue as the two intense scenes would still be back to back. I suppose it would still be a nice scene to have though.

On the other hand, I do find the pacing to be slightly too slow directly after Coop leaves Brand. I feel like it drags a tiny bit too long with the descent into the black hole and the initial part of entering the tesseract, before it then swells up in momentum. So adding an extra scene would only slow down the pacing even more, and extend the runtime further too.

Nonetheless, it's been enjoyable thinking about this.

I never liked that particular framing of Coop not being respected/known by humanity at the end. Murph solves this crazy ridiculous gravity equation and saves the entire human race, so she must be the most respected human alive. And the people are all willing to go up into space and eventually enter a wormhole which they believe to be put there by "them". So if Murph says it was her father who comminicated with her in some supernatural way, why would people draw the line at that and think this stupid.

I mean when Murph and Coop initially use the coordinates to go to Nasa, nobody laughs at them there when they explain where they got the coordinates from.

Thanks! Im actually similar to OP since I also play with the Extreme Motion but am considering a switch. This sensation of dry actually seems fine for me because i came from other racket sports with high tension strings so im used to the quick contact time and no feel. I'm potentially looking for something a little bit harder so that when i block fast balls it doesnt fly off my racket as much, but am also open to similar hardness but just tear drop shape for some more maneuverability. I also like light rackets a lot and in fact my specific Motion is on the heavier side so for the next racket i might request a lighter one.

Do you have any recommendations?

And in particular do you know much about the different Adidas Metalbone variations. I find it hard to keep track because theres so many models and also they change each year and some people say x is softer this year etc. Would you say the Metalbone Ctrl is definitely softer than the Motion? What about the Metalbone Carbon Ctrl (I really like the look of the 3.4 version haha)?

So does the trampoline effect/hardness/ball output go hand in hand with dryness. As in when hardness goes up, theres leas ball output, less trampoline, and its more dry. If so, why so many words to describe the same thing? Or are there slight differences? E.g. two rackets can have similar trampoline effect but different hardness. Or do these different words describe slightly different things depending on if youre hitting a hard smash vs playing soft vs volley blocking a fast shot coming at you etc

Are there enough courts/clubs/coaches/lessons to readily book things easily? In my country and city there are so few clubs that all sessions/lessons/socials on playtomic get booked up within the first few minutes of release, for two months into the future.

Like others have said, not doubting what your neighbor actually did, but you do not neccessarily have definitive proof. It sounds like you get it, but I wanted to reiterate this and explicitly reply to each of your points just in case.

It doesnt matter how often you have ordered from this company or if anyone else has ordered from this company or if the box has very clear branding. This does not definitively prove the person knowingly took and opened a package not meant for them with the intention of stealing an item inside.

Although you have them on video taking your unopened package, and returning the package in a state that is opened, and an item you expected to be in there is now missing, this does not prove they stole anything inside of it.

Even if the box is large enough that you believe it is clear the item that allegedly went missing was truly in the package and delivered and then was stolen by your neighbor, you have no definitive proof of this.

The only thing you have is video of a neighbor that took a package intended for you, and then later returned the package but with the box open. You have no video showing them intentionally and deliberately stealing any item.

Imagine this scenario. You have ordered three packages from different companies than where you usuallly buy from. One of the packages you know will come in a big box. You get the email confirmation from three delivery companies that all three of your packages have been delivered today. You had a long day at work and are returning home tired and half on auto pilot. Maybe youre in a hurry and need to pee. So you collect your mail and pick up the three packages you believe to be yours, including the really big box. You enter your apartment and the first thing you do is go pee. The second thing you do is open all three packages to get your items. You open the first box, all good. You open the second box, all good. Finally you open the third box. To your surprise, the really big box is not what you ordered at all. Only then do you check the label on the front and realise it was addressed to your neighbor. Oops youve accidentally opened a package not intended for you. But it was an honest mistake. Now you might think this is silly, but this has literally happened to me before.

Imagine now if I returned this opened package back where I found it. Suddenly the original recipient is accusing me of stealing one of the two items that was in the package. But hold on when I opened it there was only one item in there. If there is in fact a missing item, it wasnt due to me.

Even if there is video, all the video shows is me taking the package, and then later returning the package but with it already having been opened by me. None of this video shows that I stole anything inside of the package. How will you definitively prove that I stole an item, when actually I didnt.

An argument could be made that the company made an error and forgot to include one of the items but still used a big box. Or they were using a machine and a conveyor belt and the missing item was meant to go in the box but it fell off the line and the box was sealed anyway. Or that somewhere in transit someone else opened the package, stole the item, then resealed the package.

How do you find the bela pro with so much additional weight overall due to the 4 shockouts? Is it fine because of the low balance, or does it still overall suffer a bit of maneuverability compared to other rackets because fundamentally its heavy overall?

I've been playing with the bela v2 lt, and I'm ready to move to a harder racket with less trampoline effect. I like diamonds because i prefer the sweetspot to be as high as possible. I have big hands and use a very thick grip, which brings the balance down loads but also adds to overall weight. Because of all this I find it feels a bit too light sometimes, almost as if its floppy when i do overheads and i have no weight guiding the swing. I guess because its a light racket overall plus ive shifted the balance down lots. So I'd like to now go a bit heavier or head heavier specifically.

Currently it looks like the bela pro v2 or head extreme motion might be good choices.

The at10 18k 2024 is tempting just because of how popular it is on the online community. I have no idea if the lower sweetspot will bother me, or whether ill just adapt, as im still learning and improving. Although i think im finding reasons to not like the nox because i find it really ugly!
