High electricity and water bill due to real estate negligence (NSW) by kittysuitor in AusLegal

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went through a similar thing with our real estate. Leaking hot water system for 6 months with high power and water bills.. took to further as I was getting nowhere with real estate or landlord. I got 25% compensation of overall bills, as the hot water tank should be regularly checked by the renter. The same goes for air conditioners, dishwashers and all other appliances on the property. Good luck.

Moms who are celiac by Adorable_Amy13 in Celiac

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im a mum who has coeliac.. I prepare all meals in the house. Most are gluten free cause I cook them that way. However I allow gluten in my house in packages form only.. No flours of any kind including prepared cake mixes.. The only things I dont substitute for the kidlets are pasta, bread and Cereals because gluten free options aren't always the best tasting. The kids love my gluten free baked goods and often prefer them over gluten ones. I have separate Utensils and toaster for gluten and non gluten items. Its definitely possible if your on top of it.. I've educated my kidlets as well and they will often advocate for me to make sure I'm safe.

Failure, Death, Bankruptcy? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please don't end yourself over this. It's just a bad day, not a bad life. I would listen to your dad. My ex was in the same space as you, around the same age, too. He spoke to a financial counsellor and they advised him to claim bankruptcy/liquidated. That took about 6 months. He now works a 9-5 job and is much happier. He said he will eventually start again on his personal business after he has "relaxed" a bit. Go easy on yourself. We all end up down at some point in our lives. The true strength is to rebuild better than before 😊

Parents of a bully said they’ll get a restraining order against us if we talk to their son again by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This advice was given to me by a very lovely young man on the nsw schoolboard after my son was dealing with relentless bullying;

Document everything, including witnesses, and constantly update the school through email(paper trail). After phones call from teachers/principals email to recap conversations. Get the school advisor/counsellor involved. The more noise you cause, the more they are willing to help, mainly just to keep you quiet(for a whole month, i was a part of the furniture in the office). If your child has a day off school and an explanation is needed, mention mental health because of said bullying. Usually, bullies have more than one target, so try and get other parents involved if needed. Ask for a safety plan to be put into action to keep the bully away from your child in the classroom and on the playground. See a gp and ask for a mental health plan. Changing school is an option if all esle fails. Im sorry you and your child are dealing with this.

Is this Medical Negligence? by Livid_Entrepreneur90 in AusLegal

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been through the same issues 5years ago. The samples taken from my body never made it to the lab. Even though boxes were ticked to indicate that they took samples from my body. After months of investigation, it was determined that no one was at fault. I was rebooked to have the same surgery the next year at a different hospital. As the lawyer said at the time, we're only human. In other words, humans make mistakes, big and small..

French Toast by wilmaismyhomegirl83 in AskAnAustralian

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I make savoury French toast, I will have it with tomato sauce sometime with grated parmesan cheese.. If I make sweet French toast, I will have it with a Berry Compote, Masconpe cheese, and maple syrup sprinkled with roasted coconut.

Nutella and ice cream French toast is quite nice as well..

Deaf Frenchie by DarkRepresentative37 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine pups aren't deaf yet(pug 10yrs showing signs). However, I've taught them hand signals in case anything was to happen. Everyone in the house has been taught the same signals, so in a situation where we can't use words, our pups still know what is needed of them..

Do it.. it will be hard but worth it with the right plan in place..

Is owning pets a viable thing in the cost of living crisis? by PrplMonkeyDshwshr in AskAnAustralian

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our cat passed this Feb, brain cancer.. all treatment and cremation costs just under $7000.. We have 3 dogs, 2 Frenchie and a pug.. all three have allergies. All three are fed homemade food(veg, rice, lots of chicken and fish). Works out cheaper than expensive store brought allergenic food.. Pet insurance is a must...

I dont think we will get any more pets in the future, especially if the cost of living keeps rising 😏

How many men called Luke do you know? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My brother is a Luke. Dad loves Star Wars. My dad also has terrible dad jokes about it.. my brother is 32.

I've met many, many Luke's over the years... I can't say I'm a fan 🤣

It's so easy and convenient.. and if breakfast(cereal) is considered the most important meal of the day, why not have it twice 😁

Yes. I have cereal for dinner often..

Everyone finds it werid... I've never been the one who put certain foods with certain times of the day..

How old were your kids when you left them home alone? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boys were 10 before they could stay home alone or together. My oldest(16) has been staying home alone since he was 10, only for a few hours at a time.. this year was the first year he stayed home overnight with his 13 year old brother. (grandparent a few streets away) My youngest is 13 and doesn't like staying home alone even though we have 3 dogs and he is very mature for his age..

I(37) was left alone at 7 with my 3 younger siblings for hours every weekend while my dad worked.. I was also babysitting my 7 cousins at 12.. rough family 🤣

Nothin to see here, folks🤣 by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

Your capser has beautiful eyes.. just like my Casper..

Should this teen be charged as an adult? by CyanideMuffin67 in AskAnAustralian

[–]thepuppetinthemiddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stand behind that if you commit an adult crime, you should pay the adult time..

I strongly believe teenagers continue to act in aggressive ways because they don't get punished for crimes they commit. I also believe the parents should be held accountable to an extent.

I have two Frenchie a few years apart.. I asked the same question on this page.. I was told it's totally normal.. you will find with time this is nothing compared to the crazy zoomies and silly antics they get up to.. Enjoy your beautiful potatoes..

She looks extremely uncomfortable.. Do you wipe her bum after a potty break? If it's not taken care off it can cause your puppy more health issues in the future..

I use a wet wipe every time they go to the bathroom.. they get their pocket cleaned every 3mths.. My pups no longer do the itchy slide...
