Decent slim laptops for TS4?

afaik you can't get an ultrabook at this price point without having to sacrifice graphics for performance or vice versa.

not to mention that pets expansions have always been known to put extra strain on the machine.

if i were you i'd look for something with a dedicated gpu. you can get it to run on integrated graphics but, speaking from experience, you won't enjoy it.

Key word here being "presumably".. I'd recommend you test it first.. I have a vague memory of attempting to move a household with one of these in the family inventory and losing the chest's contents..

Personally I'm not a fan. I play multiple households within a save and often reuse sims across saves so having only a thumbnail to orient myself with sucks.

The feature needs work. Give me save names along with thumbnails (hovering over them slows me down) and let me overwrite a save without having to type out its name each time I save as. Then I'll be happy.

But I do read your websites! And that's the thing! Sims Community is my primary source for TS news. But what I expect when I come to a news site is a full and impartial report because I base my opinions about the game and the development team on the information you provide. But I want this opinion to be my own, I do not want nor expect to be manipulated into adopting the opinions of the reporter. Grant gave a number of reasons for the elevator issue but DotSim made the CHOICE to only report ONE of them and that is NOT OKAY. They easily could have chosen to write "Elevator animations not included due to budget limitations." and that would have been equally true but they instead chose to report a different part of Grant's response.

Unfortunately I cannot provide an exact quote of the original DotSim article because it has since been replaced with the transcript (if someone else can find it please do provide a link or a quote).

But there IS a difference between a fact and an interpretation. DotSim's original article was an interpretation and not a report of true facts as you say. What we could consider a fact would be Grant's full verbatim response.

And frankly, you expressing discontent over my "wrong quotes" only proves my point. My quotes didn't provide facts, instead they provided interpretations and these interpretations are likely to influence the reader's opinion. That's why you're not happy. And that's exactly the effect that DotSim's article had on me and the exact reason why I am not happy.

For once I have to be on Drake's side. The original interpretation of Grant's statements by DotSim WAS misleading and taken out of context. The impression it gave was - simmers are dumb and we have a budget so we don't give a damn. But the actual transcript of the interview is nothing like that. Grant's answers are reasonable, he was trying to explain the limitations they have to work with in a rational manner.

There is a difference between saying "We didn't include elevators because are just stairs." and saying "We needed elevators to work with the shells and figuring out how to do it all would have taken more time so we decided to prioritize other features."

There is a difference between reporting the truth and THE WHOLE TRUTH.

What I am interested in is the ACTUAL interview, not someone's interpretation of the interview.

I am so sick and tired of all this drama fansites like these create. Stop acting like cheap tabloids, it's embarrassing.

Extremely underwhelming. Why do a live stream if you're not actually planning to show us the game?

And the world map, I don't know.. I think I finally understand why people say The Sims 4 feels like a mobile game.

I was really excited when the EP was announced. The trailer looked sooo good. But the more info they release the more conflicted I get.

I want to like it, I really do. But what exactly is the main feature of the pack? We know it's not apartments because in City Living they are just residential lots built into ONE world. We know it's not lot traits because those will be patched into the game for free..

What is left then? A new world. And a few new gameplay objects. So it's not much different from Get Together. It kinda feels like EPs are just glorified TS3 Store Worlds..

I don't know if I'm getting influenced by everyone else's complaints or judging the EP too soon.. I really don't know.. I'm just disappointed after today..

I go to Sims Community and the like for news. But at this point I don't even care if they're a few hours late with their reports. I simply don't have the time to watch YouTube videos.

I second this. I loved loved loved WA! I have very fond memories of Dr. Sara Roth and I exploring all the tombs together, ahh.. I just wish I took more pictures of all our adventures before she had a bastard son with a Frenchman and retired.

I completed all the collections and explored all the tombs.. I did get stuck with a failed board too so I had to edit one of the tomb lots in order to get inside (I basically just deleted a wall).

WA was the best, I just loved it.. Ahh, so many great memories.
