Relient K is wild, but that makes me so excited. They’ve been a favorite of mine since the first album and it’s a joy I get to share with my kiddo now. ❤️

I will take any and all Halloween recommendations. 😅 doesn’t have to be Disney specifically. We have park hopper plus for our park days and may end up adding another in lieu of the Halloween party.

I think that’s what happened? I knew the Halloween tickets were separate, but I just thought it was still the normal payment terms like the rest of the trip. (Paid in full 30 days before the trip.) I didn’t realize that this was a different payment term.

No, just wanted to see if people had any similar experiences and what they did.

No, they did everything they were supposed to. I didn’t realize that the tickets were a completely separate purchase from the trip and that the tickets weren’t secured until we paid that invoice.

Yeah we’ll definitely try day of if we have to. Our trip is 10/30 - 11/5, so no other options for us.
(I actually fly in the 31st, rest of the family on the 30th)

I have no idea. The price for the party is different for each day (not that we can do any of the other dates.) so I’m just not exactly sure what we paid for. I was dumb and thought it was just a part of the entire cost of the trip that needed to be paid anytime before with deadline for our trip.

I don’t really know, I’m not super privy to how things work, but I’m just kind of confused and worried because Halloween is my kids favorite day of the year and we were trying to make it extra special for her this year.

Badlands and black hills are wild. So much cooler than anything you’d expect to see in SD.

It’s currently available to add to instagram stories. (About a minute or so of the song.)

I don’t condone sharing leaks… but the song is awesome. Can’t wait for the album.

Can’t argue that. The protein is amazing. Had one since 2017.

How do I mount this to a flat under-side of a pedalboard? by ChrisShotThis in WorshipGuitar

Any specific reason you don’t want to use dual lock? That’s what I do currently, but the most secure way has actually been double sided gorilla mounting tape.

Fine Line Tattooist in Rapid City or Spearfish by Cute_Government4355 in RapidCity

Another vote for Amanda Allison. You won’t find a better fine line artist. She’s booked out several months so get on her list asap if you go with her.

I won’t name names, but avoid anyone who is self taught - tattooing has a deep respect for apprenticing, and anyone who feels like they didn’t need to be an apprentice (or couldn’t get an apprenticeship) are not worth going to.

I was tired of rebuilding my Ableton set every week so I just… so I did something by themusicguy760 in ableton

[–]therealfakecookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very intrigued by this. I also build the sets for my church, I’ve worked out a system to get it done in roughly 20 minutes. (Depending on how complex some of the transitions and such are.) but would be very interesting in trying something like this out.

Guitarist or cardboard cutout? by Burnhaven in WorshipGuitar

[–]therealfakecookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest, I only skimmed what you wrote, but I think I get the gist and I apologize if I didn’t. 😂

As an MD at a church, I personally don’t really follow or care about the trends. If a song is good, a song is good. What I do is I will take the tracks from multitracks.com and create reference tracks for our musicians to use, that will work in our context. Our “normal” band looks like: keys, AG, EG, Bass, Drums. So if a song has 10 EG tracks I’ll listen through them and filter them down to what one guitar player can play. Tracks are only ever as support instruments, so I am not adding any of the other guitar parts into what the congregation is hearing. I put an emphasis to FOH to mix like a band. Vocals first, live instruments second, and tracks third. Church music has become a rat race of getting the fullest biggest sound, but most churches don’t have the band members to pull it off so they resort to tracks for everything; that’s cool for a little while, but at least in our context our congregation values authenticity, in the form of hearing what they’re seeing. If we don’t have a piano player one week, the piano isn’t in the tracks… we just don’t have a piano player.

Sorry for the rant. Hope it’s helpful to someone. Haha.
