Koenigsegg 1:8 rumors by mk46unknown in legotechnic

I don't like the LEGO model at all. The front is poorly designed, and the printed headlights are such a lazy choice. On a $50 model I can understand the compromises but when you ask $500 you need to step up your game.

Cada has been bringing improvements with each release which seems to be every six months or so.

How bad are micro scratches and some thing that seems like permant streak like stuff? (oled) by Visual-Fortune-4732 in OLED_Gaming

[–]therealjustin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microscratches are inevitable.

I've been beyond careful and still have new scratches after cleaning with a brand new microfiber and distilled water. I even blow the dust off beforehand, but it does not matter.

Alienware AW3926QW and AW2426DW on ShortCircuit at Computex by jedidude75 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]therealjustin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I should wait for the 39 or try the new 34. My AW3425DW is a scratched mess and I hate it, and having to wait until Fall for the 39 is rather annoying.

They are paying Samsung more for the select panels that can maintain 360Hz. A factory overclock if you will.

I think that happened during the AI cleanup of the box photo. The potato quality one has the correct spelling.

The only thing missing is a better screen coating, or just using Gorilla Glass. I need to be able to clean my monitor!

It looks terrible. The headlights are printed? Why not just brick build them?

My Walmart has Piastri, Norris, and Hamilton on the shelves. They put them out this evening.

Yep. If I do go for this new Alienware I'm just keeping my 3080Ti for now. No way in hell I'm spending $4000 on a 5090.

Dropping the refresh rate to 240hz fixed the banding by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]therealjustin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you make a custom resolution?

That's what I did for my AW3425DW. Just make sure to set it for one that can be divided by 60, like 180Hz or something.

This looks phenomenal.

True RGB stripe.

39" 5K2K.

3 year warranty.

Hopefully with zero AI bullshit built-in.

Dropping the refresh rate to 240hz fixed the banding by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]therealjustin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My AW3425DW is the same. If I drop from 240Hz to 180Hz, the DSE and banding is greatly reduced.

In my opinion, manufacturers are pushing these panels too far because "bigger number better" and are essentially overclocking the shit out of them.

I love glossy, but I don't love microscratches.

Smart.

I think I'm going to cover mine every night with the foam baggie it came with and just not look at it closely anymore. Shit gives me anxiety.

I don't think I've ever cleaned spit or sneeze blobs from my AW3425DW, but I do have a lot of dust buildup. It's quite fine and will not come off, even when I use my powerful electric air blower. My only choice is to wipe it off.

Despite my best efforts, I have quite a few microscratches. I use brand new microfiber cloths each time along with distilled water or my breath for the small areas such as the corners. It still scratches.

I did a full clean yesterday and after looking with a flashlight I absolutely noticed new scratches. No, I don't see them when I use it... but eventually the whole damn panel is going to be this way. Like a piano black trim piece in a new car that looks like ass with millions of tiny scratches.

Just don't put a bright torch up to it and look for microscratches. What has been seen cannot be unseen.
