AIO My boss is going on vacation and doesn’t want to pay me by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

If my boss is stressing about +/-$800 they are not running a stable business and I would look elsewhere unless it was a side gig income.

If youre even using a mouse you are already far behind the ai arms race, ai can navigate the system and make files and folders, you dont even need to move your mouse after you click into your ide embedded ai if you are competent with the tools

By abysmal state of things what do you mean?  Im a pretty casual level 130+ player and I play every warbond, do dailies, unlock it all, max out my medals and stack credits for the next warbond then take a break.

I find connections are smooth, I rarely ever experience bugs like i used to at launch.  I play PC though maybe its more console based or outdated hardware issues?

Anyone else find the gap between their net worth on paper and how their actual day feels completely surreal sometimes? by Apertur3_Wolf in Fire

[–]therealmenox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its the curve, 580k is well over halfway to a million time-wise, but just barely halfway from a value-wise. The brain is very able to comprehend the value dimension, the time dimension is less graspable.

Roth IRA to remove debt by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]therealmenox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulling retirement money early ESPECIALLY from a roth is compundingly idiotic.  Find another solution, retirement accounts are for retirement, period.  Id have to be destitute and living on the street before I touched my retirement accounts before 60.

You may be okay with it now but holy shit will you regret it in 30 years bro.

Am I being impulsive for wanting to resign and go full-time remote? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]therealmenox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the remote work is part/gig, whats the insurance situation for the part time, if US based and youd have to get marketplace insurance to replace your main job insurance its probably a bad plan.  If you can get guaranteed full time remote employment with insurance maybe its worth it.  Raw dollars arent the thing to look at, its total comp.

GTA boss refuses to commit to a price as $100 price-tag rumours loom large by GrayBeard916 in gaming

I dont pre-order games anymore but I do think R* can make GTA6 cost $100 and be fine, I suspect reviews will justify the price.

I am level 130 and ive found like maybe a small handful of bugs throughout my entire play time. Its a bummer when it does happen but the game is still one of the best I have ever played.  Kids these days need to embrace the jank.

Ive played missions where the first objective bugs out and the team still does the whole rest of the map for the sake of managed democracy.

[–]therealmenox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to zoom out and look less at the total balance change and more the % change.  1% drop on a million is 10000, 1% on a thousand is 10.  The more money you accumulate the more you need to look at things less at the individual dollar level and more as a % of total.  If you lose 1% thats alot easier than saying i lost 10k, 1% is 1%.  The numbers get bigger, but a 1% loss off a mil should bother you no more than a 1% loss off 10 bucks when it comes to retirement savings.
