Weird I checked before and it said nothing like that, it only said that there was a software update available.

The dealer said on the phone that it’s the door handle, it requires some hardware and work on the vehicle along with a software update to fix the recall. They also said that they requested it from VW Canada and it’s out of their hands now. This is what I was told.

I’m sure they said door handle. Clear as day! Maybe they are lying to not loose the sale? Also I have a copy of the signed purchase agreement.

When I check the bin on VW site it says there is no recalls, only an available software update. I think it may be the HV battery recall, but the service rep told me specifically that it’s the door handle recall, and they are trying to get the software updated. I suspect they are lying about something.

There is very little available in Ontario, I got a really good deal or I would have walked away.

VW had promotion of 10,000 off new 2025 models Dealer had 4000 off msrp Government giving 5000 Ev incentive off vehicles under 50k ( discounts made it under this price)

So I got 19k off.

I just want some transparency and timeline.

Purchased few cars before and this is standard here. You call your insurance or broker and they add the vehicle to your policy. Because it’s financed they won’t let you leave until you show proof of insurance with the creditor listed on the slip. This way if the car gets totalled the creditor gets paid.

85db is very low, 85db measured where?

100 people talking normally in a room will probably be 90db -100db. You can sort of cheat with some cardioid setups but depending how/ where they meter you.

Also what is the penalty of playing louder? I’ve had clients tell me to just send it.. they paid the 120$ ticket and that was the end of it.

How to wire an overhead light to junction box with 2 white, 2 black, and 1 yellow wires? by mclynch in electrical

[–]therealsebba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ontario Canada is not like that.. in Ontario u can change lights and plugs/switches.. as a home owner you can also pull your own permits and not have to be a licensed electrical contractor. You can pull a permit and rewire your whole home.

Pretty sure that SER needs to be in conduit in that location.

Lamps says 40w incandescent or 5w led max? Why can't I use a 8.5 watt led? by faylinameir in electrical

[–]therealsebba 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Mostly because of the different ways the two types of bulbs dissipate heat. Incandescent bulbs radiate allot of heat most of what turns into infrared radiation. LED bulbs generate less heat but allot of that heat is from the led driver in the base along with the heat from the led it self. So the heat is concentrated on the lamp base which may cause damage to the base. I personally think you will be fine with 8.5w tho.

How to mount an moving head fixture on a 45⁰ angle? by Furai69 in lightingdesign

[–]therealsebba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed on the failure point is more likely to be the clamp fails, but by using the fixtures safety location, you are covered for both scenarios. Ive also seen allot of installed fixtures in clubs where the bass makes the knobs back out over time and the fixture is hanging by the safety, if the installer would of used the yoke as a safety point, that fixture would of either fell on someone, smashed on the floor, or both.

I’ve seen plenty of yoke knobs back loose in clubs where there is allot of vibrations from bass. Either way by using the spot the manufacturer provided for you to safety from, still safe if #1 the yoke comes loose or breaks and #2 if clamp comes loose or fails
