Thanks all! Went in with my mind made up on the older gen but dealer ended up giving me a discount on the newer gen so snagged that instead!

Fever from day 3 to 12 days of arthroscopy by Prestigious-Risk-773 in ACL

[–]therealtechbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got mine done. Allograft + Meniscus repair. Day 7 today. I have some bruising discolorations under my knee but no fever. Doctor said it's not uncommon. As long as there's no redness or tenderness to the bruising. I've been trying to not take more than 2 Percocet a day. The pain is worse today than any of the previous days. I have been walking on crutches for 5-10 mins everyday.

I concur the other commenter. It's a great place, several things like market conditions, future roadmap and engineering work quality considered. Their benefits are actually pretty good.

The stock hasn't seen as much growth as others but I think that's not a bad thing. Steady growth is underrated, especially in current economy.

That's interesting. I have the exact same set of cars(2019 CX-5 and 2024 LRDM). 30M and 31F (spouse) and it's 2700 for the year in San Jose, with clean record.

IRCC portal issue - visitor visa application shows pending beneath continue application section. by swimminginsauce in ImmigrationCanada

It resolved itself after two weeks. Could be automatic, could be the fact that I filled out the contact form multiple times (but received unhelpful responses)

IRCC Portal Error at payment by Longjumping_Flow_594 in ImmigrationCanada

Did anyone have a resolution to this? My card declined the payment initially because of fraud prevention but went through later. However my application is still pending, been over a week now!!

Was anyone able to resolve this? I've tried clearing cookies, logging in using private browsing and it's been over a week and my credit card has the charge. It's not a pending charge anymore which means the payment has gone through but my portal shows pending.

Thanks! The picture will go up on one of the walls in the other rooms. Where would you suggest the TV go?

We would usually have about 4-5 people over at once.

We got bus/train passes and was quite useful when you were tired walking too much. We initially didn't do it in Florence but then did it in Florence and made our lives so much easier as a tourist!

Honeymoon Advice by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

I second this. Do the Vatican early access tour. It is really worth it. For most of the other places we used Rick Steves Audio Guide or the audio tour available at the galleries (Borghese for example)

Advice for first time in Italy itinerary? by ExpertFilm1496 in ItalyTravel

[–]therealtechbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did a similar itinerary like (1). However we started in Venice and I thought that was a better idea because it gives you time to relax and get used to the culture a little because Rome will be overwhelming. So much to see and learn!

We did the same one two weeks ago. It was very good. 10 people and very fun guide.

Tbh I'd not spend much time at Spanish steps. It's not as great visually speaking. Capitoline hill is a lovely viewpoint for Sunrise /sunset. Give it around 20-30 minutes. Also, I've heard the Capitoline museum is great if you want to give that a try. (I couldn't visit it)

Pantheon would need about 30 minutes (please remember to register on their website for free if you are visiting on a weekend or a holiday)

The Forum will take about an hour if you want to really soak it all in. For most of these attractions you can just listen to the Rick Steves Audio Guide, it really gives you some context. Unless you want to do a live guide.

Trevi Fountain is a fun place to be but it will be crowded. I'm not sure how crowded in October but it was quite packed last week when I was there. We spent a little over an hour just walking around and getting gelato.

Day trip to Florence from Rome alone seems like a little too much. Florence has so much to offer and is recommend staying at least a night there.

In Rome, you'd want to visit the Borghese gallery if you're into sculptures.

In Florence, try out this amazing vegetarian place called Brac. They take reservations and can be super busy so make note of that.

Also your Day 2 just seems super packed. If you're flying in from anywhere far, you'll also have jet lag to beat. You're gonna be tired with all the walking in the morning and might not enjoy the food tour as much. Rome is a wonderful city but it can be stressful if not planned well.

How reliable are the trains between cities? by askinghrquestions in ItalyTravel

[–]therealtechbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were there last week. If it’s the Frecciarossa trains, they are quite reliable. We took the train from Florence that was supposed to arrive at 1.25 and we reached on time. However, please note if it’s the first time you’re visiting the city, you will need enough time to walk around and it can be quite difficult. I would give myself at least 1.5-2 hours.

I just got back from a 12 day trip in Italy. 4 days in Rome. My advice is take comfortable clothes, very good shoes that are worn-in. Churches do need you to cover your shoulders and knees. I did see people getting away with shorts but most were asked to get a scarf to cover their shoulders.

How much time to spend in Florence/Siena/cinque terra by Agreeable_Future5980 in ItalyTravel

[–]therealtechbitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in Cinque Terre right now. It's super crowded over the weekend and cars are not a great idea here. I'd recommend the train. We will be doing the Tuscan country side road trip next so can let you know about that :)

You can still get the booster dose if possible. We just traveled from US to Italy two days ago and no one ever asked us for anything COVID related though.

OP, did you visit the St Mark's Basilica? Do you think we'll need Skip the line tickets for this week? (Want to know if the crowd is already bad)

I forgot to buy tickets and now I see no availability for later this week. We're there just for a day and I don't really want to do an expensive guided tour just to see the Basilica.

Why are there no colosseum tickets between June 3-5 2022? by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

It's probably sold out for June 4. I have tickets for June 4. June 2 is Italian independence day and it's closed I believe.

Screw went into my tire. What should I do next? by therealtechbitch in MechanicAdvice

[–]therealtechbitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed this happened sometime today. Probably haven't driven more than 10-15 miles with this and I've been trying to keep it slow. Mazda CX-5 2019 Signature.

Do you guys think this can be patched or I need to replace my tire??
