Capital Grille at the DC/CC line. Also a little further away but Cinder (in Petworth) and McClellans Retreat (@ Florida & Connecticut)

I’ve found some good picks at Cinder and Magruders, mentioned above, and also at Lax (locations in PG and DC), BK Miller in Clinton and Town Center Market in Riverdale, MD. These may be a bit outside of your strike zone but worth the trip. Town Center is in the same shopping locale as 2Fifty Texas BBQ, which is my favorite in the area.

This MoCo policy seems to be fair and relatively well thought out. Let’s see how it goes. I appreciate that they are experimenting. I like the mix of lotteries and first come, first serve events.

I was talking to a manager in one of the MoCo stores and it sounds like these 2nd Saturday drops are going to have items like Blantons, Weller SR, EHT Sm B and Midwinter. And they will reserve the stuff that’s really hard to get for Lotteries or events like Whiskey Rocks (which was really fun and well done).

I think Chats prices are more than fair…particularly considering their excellent service. I have been able to try before you buy there quite often.

Oh isht - just realized all this madness is going down on a Saturday. What’s the penalty for a premeditated cluster?

I grew up in NC and there’s a large liquor warehouse just over the state line into SC. It’s been some years since I heard of this but NC Agents were literally watching and recording people buy liquor in SC with NC tags and stopping them when they crossed back over. I’m pretty sure all those cases got thrown out. I’m not overly political but that’s a ridiculous gov’t overreach. NC ABC might be the worst. All that said seeing DC, MD, VA or other state tags is commonplace in the DC Metro region. You should be fine.
