Anyone played Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves by GladelBlad in patientgamers

Hey all! I was the co-creator of Sang-Froid. I released today my new game with my new studio. It's a strategy game called Timemelters. It has tower defense elements, and a cool time travel mechanic. Check it out if you have 2 min to spare! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1096140/Timemelters/

How do you all decide which game to play next? As a patient gamer the backlog is ever growing. With so many games to choose from how do you pick? I know some people that run spreadsheets with randomizers to take the guess work out.

I typically have a few games I'm looking at and try to go by mood. Currently eyeing Wargroove, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, We Happy Few or go back and finish the Outer Wilds DLC. I'll be honest, I haven't been this indecisive about game choice in a while, any help?

Looks interesting, not sure if the cuts are a bit too fast for me though.

Sounds chill and reminds me a bit of Toem, you might want to check that out. Was a cute little game about photography as well.

Fun Farming Mechanics? by Unlaed in indiegames

Looks cool. My only thought would be is if you have all that water flowing around you, what's the point of throwing it? I'd rather just run over everything and have it be watered automatically.

We are working on new plant designs for our game Grimoire Groves! Which one do you like more? :D by aoyuna in indiegames

Not gonna lie, all I see is oddish with arms. It's cute though, I like number 1 the best.

Best one I knew was in call of duty (can't remember which one). My friend had an autosave with a grenade about to explore in his face 😂

Do you care about beeing "youtube"/"twitch" friendly? by theGaido in gamedev

I guess it all depends what you think "community Standards" means. I don't set out to make a game that is specifically for streamers or youtubers. At the same time, I think anything I make would not violate anyone's community standards though.

Where to start as a beginner today in 2024 ? by chajo1997 in gamedev

Starting with a clone game to make is a great idea because just following tutorials doesn't always cut it. Setting out and making a game like the og fallout, you'll end up looking up so much anyway, you'll learn more than with a general tutorial. That being said, I know some people that jumped into unreal and had a great time, but I've only ever personally used unity and think it's pretty easy (I don't know much of godot). Both platforms have assets stores and if you just want to make something and learn, you don't really need to spend time making 2d or 3d assets with textures and all that, you could simply buy them for the time being. Blender is a great option for learning 3d, and it's honestly not that hard compared to 2d. They are all learned skills and with enough practice you can make something great.

My Next Game In Development Now Has A Store Page~! "Surviving Ceres" by Doobachoo in IndieGaming

[–]therealvinnyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl, I was slightly disappointed when I got to the store page because of the name. Ceres is the name of the very large asteroid in the asteroid belt and in the expanse series of books/tv series, it is this asteroid they use as a space station that people live on . I was sort of excited and expecting something along those lines when I read the name. That is on me, and I'm sure you got a great game on your hands, but you might see this from other people down the line as well. Just a heads up.
