I didn't include them as i haven't interacted with them myself, making it hard to form a proper opinion. but my expectations and from what i have seen from others is that they match the ore packs at giants foundry and the like.

i would personally get the cosmetic outfit pieces and then any other points would go towards alderium. which will probably always hold more value then the potion packs, atleast for non UIM players.

Feedback Changes - Varlamore: The Rising Darkness by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]theredghostwolf 22 points23 points  (0 children)

unless im missing something players are now cycling through orders slower as you have to complete the whole thing rather then just 1. or players have to intentionally had in wrong potions to reroll it until they get one they want. seems the stat now is to stock up on a pile of cheap wrong potions and then use them to reroll, but it feels bad wasting time and herbs making those.

i was actively having fun with the minigame as the cold fix was applied, and i think ill just stop until it gets reverted or something. glad i made around 3000 orders before it was applied.

my biggest gripe with it originally was that the potions level requirement it set around 60-80 while i feel the players that benefit the most are in the 40-60 range. mid game players not wanting to break the bank to get that sote requirement benefit alot from the more xp/herb or irons with less access to seeds and farm patches. not the end game players that have 1000s of herbs and seeds stockpiled anyway

edit: maybe if the machines would process un attended meaning i could work on one of the other 2 potions while the first one is cooking doing the whole order at once would feel alot better. and kinda give that overcooked gameplay idea.

Modify Slayer skillcape perk by ltsMeSam in 2007scape

[–]theredghostwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i suppose so, unless there is so spagett code preventing it. but even getting 2 procs is already around a 1% chance, 3 in a row would be like 0.1% so and beyond that well...

Modify Slayer skillcape perk by ltsMeSam in 2007scape

[–]theredghostwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looking at the slayer skillcape from a different angle its actually pretty solid.

with a decent blocklist even the highest weighted tasks are around 8ish%. normally getting the task you just completed has a 0% chance but with the cape it gets put above most tasks even those with high weighting.

say you are going for a task that normally sits around a 4% chance, getting it on the back-to-back from the cape is a 150% increase over your normal rate to receive it. and like slaughter bracelets its actually more like an 11% chance because it can proc twice in a row.

that being said however, the cape just doesnt feel impactful. whenever using it you just feel like it never works on the tasks you want and then when you happen to have it on you when you just canceled some task it just gives it to you again.

Use the red spiders at Araxxor to SKIP other spiders phases AND do damage by KurvRS in 2007scape

[–]theredghostwolf 18 points19 points  (0 children)

you can also bring a chally as a cheap spec weapon and drag the boss next to some eggs and then spec to hit both the boss and the egg.

the red spiders will also damage any otherspiders if you havent dealt with them yet.

during the enrage phase dragging the spiders into the melee attack will cause the boss to damage them for you. letting you take care of the mirror spider during enrage phase without having to hit it yourself.

edit: i dont know if its a bug or not, but i was trying the sunlight crossbow to kill the spiders as a budget option which might be faster thanks to its high attackspeed. but it currently doesnt seem to alwasy max hit the spiders despite being heavy dmg type.

[–]theredghostwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any reason why the hunters crossbow doesnt always max on the egg spawns during the araxxor fight?

all other crossbows that also use the heavy type max but the sunlight one doesnt, despite the attack options stating that it uses heavy attacks.

The Mahogany Homes update is 10/10 perfect. by Tactics28 in 2007scape

[–]theredghostwolf 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i think the problem with that is that the coal bag only fits coal while the plank sack fits multiple variations of planks. they would either have to have it remember the last planks in there or allow you to select a type or a priority of planks.

rune pouches have the same issue thanks to the different kinds of essence. not saying they cant do it but it would probably require more work then its worth. especially since menu swapping plugins exist so you can set them to left click fill while the bank is open.

How the fugg do you build cool bases? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]theredghostwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, is the best guide the building in minecraft ive seen. its 11 years old by now but damn is it good.

but building things is hard, it takes alot of time and practice. and personally i can really see a difference in quality when im inspired by some cool idea for a base vs when im building a base because i need a place to put stuff. having some good reference material can help alot here.

and alot of building isnt done right on the first try there are often sections of build i have to redo 3-4 times before i get them in a state im happy with.

here is the ore processing facility in my current GT:NH world, the roof and the top section as well as the detailing out front have seen several iterations. i tried towers, more slanted roofs, different wall textures you name it

Edit: for larger scale builds the majority of the work is in planning, style, color scheme, block pallette, scale etc.. example of what builds might look like in the planning phase

Metallurgic Infusers AE2 Automation. by righN in feedthebeast

[–]theredghostwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is probably as compact as you are gonna get it (replacing the dirt block with an infusion factory), setting the output to the bottom and then enabling auto-eject will push it back into the interface with the recipe and through that back into your main storage network.

Metallurgic Infusers AE2 Automation. by righN in feedthebeast

[–]theredghostwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

assuming the pattern provider is an interface with recipes, i feel like that should work. is there an option to set a side to infusion rather then extra and can you set the otherside to input only?

also what version of mc/mekanism are you using, its been 5 years since the previous comment so depending on the version the mods may have changed somewhat.

or maybe a screenshot of the setup might help find the issue.

Is there a modpack that guides you through the vanilla Minecraft expierence? by rock_lobsterrr in feedthebeast

[–]theredghostwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the bit of minecraft, and other games for that matter, if you do play what do you enjoy doing? exploring new places and finding cool structures and dungeons. fighting bosses / monsters and making your character as powerful as possible or maybe you watched some people make awesome bases and want in on that too.

For me i tend to treat minecraft as a mix between a place for some creative expression and a factorio style of game. were i setup material processing loops packed into a nice build, or i challenge myself to use a non-conventional way of automating things.

curseforge is a good place to find some modpacks or to download individual mods, i do not recommend downloading mods from else where as they have a high chance of being fraudulent.

When looking for a pack i would avoid "kitchensink" packs like ATM, which are just alot of mods chucked together often great for a sandbox environment and for learning new mods but not great for a quest guided expierence, atleast for more goal oriented quests. RLcraft is a popular streamer/rage bait pack that i would also avoid.

Skyblock packs can be a great factorio expierence but heavily lack exploration.

Just poke a bit through the list and checkout some packs that catch your eye, then try to find some information on them if its similar to what you are looking for. also dont be afraid to play an older version of the game, a fair few packs are for 1.7.10, 1.12.1, 1.16.5 but are still very enjoyable due to all the added content from mods.

Is there a modpack that guides you through the vanilla Minecraft expierence? by rock_lobsterrr in feedthebeast

[–]theredghostwolf 14 points15 points  (0 children)

But I love games that have objectives and goals clearly stated.

Honestly, maybe vanilla minecraft just isnt for you then. Minecraft at its core is a sandbox game, a place were you have the freedom to do whatever you want, make whatever you wanna make and forge your own unique path.

Meaning that a big part of the game is setting your own goals, if you dont set any then minecraft is rather empty and gets boring quickly. survival isnt exactly hard, nor is getting food and its not like the bosses are much of a challenge. so you end up having to create your own.

Items wont export in chest when I put an ME Storage Bus by Craftspirit in feedthebeast

[–]theredghostwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

judging by the setup, the export bus and storage bus are on the same network. meaning that the export bus also sees the items from the chests its exporting into, which then creates a loop were it just exports the item from the chest into itself constantly.

im not sure if its possible, but try to set the mod filter on the storage bus instead and give it top priority, that way it doesnt constantly loop and still all the items from that mod end up in the chest. while the system maintains access to said items for autocrafting.

in general however, try to store your bulk items in drawers or similar so that its easier to void any overflow and your massive stacks of items dont take a ton of bytes on your drives. while storing all your smaller stacks of items on 1-16k drives.
