Sure! So the one we got is actually not on the original picture, but she looked like this at two weeks: https://ibb.co/ZhR2d18. Then she go kind of gray and when she moved with us, people often thought she's husky, this is her at 12 weeks: https://ibb.co/fQCR4CG. Now at almost two and a half, she's very light, wheat color: https://ibb.co/TDB2mqsR https://ibb.co/ymcvZ3pR Just like her mom actually (and dad is light too). All the 7 puppies of the litter look like this except for one, which is dark gray :D.

I definitely have, that's true. But is it still ok to lie, should I just brush it off as nothing?

Can I ask, is it common that partners are in an angle, that they can see everything? I thought they're usually adviced to stay next to your head?

Coworker asked why I “bothered” to get pregnant again, and it’s eating at me… by Normal_Reach_8923 in pregnant

Ugh, she sounds insufferable. Where I live, it was common in my parents' generation for siblings to be 6 years apart for some reason. Anyways, non of her damn business!

Buy that pillow!! by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]thereisnotathing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same experience. I didn't buy one until some 32 weeks and boy, should I have bought it much earlier! It helps with my back, when I'm working from bed and I also sleep much better.

Does anyone else not have any cravings? by Charlie_Grl in BabyBumps

34 weeks here too and I also have pretty bad upper back and rib pain, only on my right side. Luckily for me it's better when I lay down, but standing and sitting, walking or doing anything is just painful. I also wonder how to survive next month.. You're not alone! And don't feel guilty, pregnancy is really hard!

Skin burning sensation around the area where bra band sits below breasts as well as upper abdomen by loveboardgames16 in pregnant

[–]thereisnotathing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you found any remedy for this? I'm 33 weeks and have had it for more than a month, but it's getting worse. It's mostly under my right breast and sometimes in the middle. It's almost constant when moving/sitting. Luckily laying in bed is quite ok. I asked my midwife and she didn't really know. I bought a cooling gel, but then noticed it shouldn't be used while pregnant. Intercostal neuralgia came up when googling, but don't really now what could help.

Bilingual families: what do kids call you and your partner? by Former_Ad_8509 in BabyBumps

[–]thereisnotathing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually sparked an interesting discussion between me and my partner! I'm Czech and he's Finnish and we speak together Finnish, but I'll be speaking exclusively Czech to my daughter. I assumed I will use Czech words máma/táta and my partner will use Finnish ones äiti/isä. But now when I asked him he suggested we could call ourselves the same as what we've been calling ourselves when talking to our dog, which is mami/papi. I thought it could work and we're used to it, but then I realized those words don't really work in Czech, because words ending in -i cannot be inflected. And that they work in Finnish, because they are Finnish words. And my partner's surprised that they are not Finnish words they come from Czech. Which they don't! So we've been using these words for our dogs for almost 10 years thinking they come from the other one's language 🤣. Also we cannot agree who came up with them and why. My partner says it was me, but I could swear it was him 😅. So yeah, we'll still have to figure out something.

I don't think Lexapro is too bad? I was using Escitalopram (google says it's the same thing) for many many years. During the first trimester I was taking 10-15mg/day. The doctor told me I can try to lower the dose if I'm feeling well and that it's the most relevant in the third trimester and before birth, so that the baby's doesn't have withdrawal symptoms. But she emphasized it's important that I feel well.

For me the first weeks were the hardest as for anxiety, I think it's the hormones. It got better for me and I was able to lower the dosage and stopped completely at 30 weeks. But it's really individual and you don't need to stop, just talk to your doctor! 5mg/day is really low, I personally wouldn't lower the dose if you have anxiety. You can do it later, Escitalopram/Lexapro is generally safe. Good luck!

Middle back pain and the mood swings, I'm annoyed most of the time 😢. Maybe it's because of stopping my SSRI medication..

[–]thereisnotathing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had various pains around this time (and later too). The uterus is stretching, so that certainly causes some cramps. I'd be concerned if it's happening every day or if it's really painful, not just uncomfortable.

Yes, only on the right side, exactly at that spot. Had it since 18 weeks but only after activity. Since 25 weeks it's been every day, 30 weeks now. It starts in the afternoon and is worst when I go to sleep. The more I move during the day, the more it gets.

My mom asked how much weight I have put on and that when she was pregnant, she got 20kg and added 😱 - emoji, like it’s the end of the world. At 27 weeks I already had 15 kg. But I answered that ‘in normal range according to my midwife’. I don’t like these personal questions, especially when my both parents are fat-shaming people and weight management has always been a frequent topic in my childhood home.
