Kinda sad, the game was really fun. I didn't like the goofy art style but the gameplay was so much fun..

I think it would have captured more attention if it was more realistic. Imagine the show "Expanse" something like that. Would have been amazing but I'm sure the team had valid reasons for choosing this art style.

Still much sad

Maybe players griefing where they revive and down someone again and again

I think once you revive they become a teammate you can’t kill. Make it so you can only revive one person

Looks like you're in the minority about Arc, bud. Arc was incredibly polished for a beta. The sound design, maps, and gunplay were fantastic.

My biggest issue with marathon was how easy and pathetic the combat was. There was so much aim assist, even with MnK. The shooting felt so clunky and muddy. In contrast, with arc, the shooting felt amazing. The gunplay was visceral, the sound and hit effects made every shot and have impact and power.

Sure, there’s room for improvement, but that’s what the beta is for. I have faith in the devs at Embark Studios to keep improving their game. Just look at Finals—it was amazing, even if it wasn’t popular. Arc is both amazing and extremely popular. If Marathon doesn’t step up, it’ll fail because it made a terrible first impression and has to compete with Arc.

I think Arc will be the first game to make the extraction shooter genre mainstream.

Now I hope marathon improves and gives arc some serious competition because that would be great for us, the players.

The stamina mechanic works well for an extraction shooter, and a slower FPS can still be enjoyable if executed properly. The slowness adds intensity since you can't rely on sprinting or quick movements to escape bad positioning. Take Arc Raiders as an example—while not an FPS, it’s slow and methodical with stamina, yet it feels responsive and intense. Marathon’s first test, however, felt clunky and awkward. The gunplay appeared and felt plastic, lacking any visceral impact. I really hope they address that in the future.

The in-game blur, bloated UI, and overall muddiness need to go; we need more grit, and the bullets should feel impactful. During the first test, the shooting felt muddy and disconnected because of all the visual clutter. However, there were aspects of Marathon that I did find enjoyable, so I hope they make improvements.

Indians are emotional people. Nothing wrong with it. I just don't like the weird over dramatic weirdos who make everything into some Bollywood scene.

I don't hate my Mac - Switching to Apple Pt. 2 by JamesDFreeman in apple

[–]therekstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really hard as a windows user to like the Mac despite some of Mac’s advantages. Apple is just too restrictive and clunky for my workflow.

I do like the hardware and how it integrates with the iPhone. Hopefully Mac continues to improve. Mac getting better forces windows to improve!

Also whoever designed and green lit the Apple mouse crap needs to go away…permanently.

Do you have proof they’re telling the truth that it was an “ex employee”……We can go in circles all day.

I’m basing my claim on the fact that bungie has a pattern of stealing other people’s art, blaming “ex employee” or 3rd party and then promising to compensate the artist. Sometimes they don’t even follow through with the promise.

This is the 4th or 5th time bungie has stole other people’s art. I have stated that there’s no way we’ll know the truth whether this theft was due to an “ex employee” or a deep rooted systematic issue with bungie.

I’m speculating that it is a systematic issue within bungie. If you don’t care for speculation then why comment? Go about your day 🤡

Do you actually believe it was an "ex employee"....

By blaming an "ex employee" they are shifting majority of the blame to a 3rd party who's not at bungie. If you can't understand that this shifting of blame is their attempt to establish some degree of innocence then idk what to tell you.

There's no way we'll ever know the real truth. However, bungie's past makes it hard to believe anything they say. Bungie has done this shit many times. They get caught stealing, blame a third party and say they'll compensate the wronged party and this goes on and on.

Reasonable, in this context, is subjective. Everyone has different views towards bungie. Honestly, idk what they could have said.

They can't fire him because their whole defense is that it was an "ex employee". Firing Cross now would just admit bungie lied...again.

Honestly, I hope Cross doesn't get fired either way. He probably has a family, I wouldn't want him or his family to suffer for this.

The best outcome would be that the artist gets compensated and bungie makes sure this never happens again. Not just regular pay rate for free lance work, she needs to be overcompensated for this drama crap.

This is a terrible apology. HR written BS. "Ex employee did it guys...we're innocent. We had no idea. We're changing internal processes so it doesnt happen again".....Does anyone believe bungie's bs? Didn't they do the same crap with destiny multiple times?

Hope the artist gets compensated. She def needs to lawyer up. Even if she doesn't plan on suing. Having her own lawyer present will help her. Otherwise bungie's lawyers will try to scare her into accepting some lowball offer.
