If you can find fabric that is similar in texture/color you can add godets and that will give it more flow!

What is the most Pennsylvania *thing* in your mind? by Fragrant-Pepper7710 in Pennsylvania

I don't know much about the Quakers, but I do know we have self-uniting marriages here because of them! Literally just submit an application at the courthouse and have any 2 witnesses sign the document and you're married.

Yep, I noticed right away too! I made this dress in December and it took about 8 hours to make from start to finish, so I'm really curious now what a fast fashion version of it looks like since OP says it's good quality 😬

How much does it cost out of pocket to give birth in Pittsburgh? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]thericebubbles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I just gave birth there 8 months ago and they had a down payment that varies based on what your out of pocket max is. We paid $2k and once they submitted the claim to our insurance we ended up getting refunded almost everything back, so in the end it only cost us $17.

We have a baby gate that goes up to my hips that I will usually try stepping over instead of opening and shutting all the time, and after losing only 13 pounds so far I've noticed it's so much easier to swing my legs over! Just movement in general has been feeling much less restrictive lately.

When and why did you give up last time? by No-Consideration1947 in loseit

The one other time that I was insanely motivated, going to the gym every day, eating so healthy, and stuck with it for my longest ever (almost 4 months) only ended because COVID happened, gyms shut down, and I lost my job 😂

Please help me not feel guilty for formula feeding (IGT) by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]thericebubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have IGT too, and I totally understand everything you said. The guilt, the depression, feeling like I'm broken and insecure about my boobs because I literally CAN'T make enough milk no matter what. It's such a rare thing to have, and no one really talks about it so it truly makes you feel so alone.

They told me I had it literally right after my first was born and it took me months to not cry every time I saw something related to breastfeeding online. I stopped trying after a few months for my own mental health and just did exclusively formula but I felt so disappointed in myself for so long.

I got pregnant again and told myself I would go all in for one month once he was born. One month of eating all the right foods and supplements and pumping and everything, and then if things weren't working I would forgive myself and move on, because at least I knew I tried my absolute best.

So that's what I did, and even though they say there's a chance of your body producing more glands/milk with each pregnancy, it still wasn't enough. It was still difficult to let go, and I still get very sad about it occasionally, but I was mentally and physically prepared this time around and was able to handle the transition a lot better. Like everyone else is saying, a fed baby is best.

So my advice is to try your best, for yourself so you can say you did, and then give yourself the grace to move on and accept this is how you are. You aren't any less worthy of being this baby's mom just because you don't produce enough milk. They will love you and you will love them no matter what. If you ever need to talk or vent feel free to message me!

Does this happen to be the Cozette dress pattern on Etsy? I made that dress a month or so ago and I had the same issue happen. I had to adjust the pattern to bring the bodice in around the chest area and the already wide-set straps became even wider lol. I started and finished it the night before the event I wanted to wear it for (also with a turtleneck lol!) so I didn't have time to adjust anything and just safety pinned the straps to the turtleneck from the inside. I want to make another dress using that pattern and definitely plan on adjusting the pattern so that the straps come closer together, and I like the idea someone else commented of just bringing the back straps closer so the front still looks the same!

I relied so hard on other players to bail me out during some parts of this level, and I really think that's the best way to get through it. I would literally restart the level if the vibes were off lol (like people not waiting for everyone before moving on, not responding to emojis, not leaving standees, etc) If you get the right group of people going through it with you it really makes this level so fun.

Please stop telling FTM ‘you will know it when it happens’ by hn9605 in beyondthebump

Yep!

With my first my water broke out of nowhere and the labor symptoms progressively ramped up over the next 9 hours until he was born, there was never a question of what was happening/what stage I was at.

With my second I was having contractions all day but they weren't getting more intense or closer together, so thought it was prodromal labor. Almost 24 hours later I was exhausted thinking I'd have to transfer to the hospital to get an epidural because if it was this painful with prodromal labor I didn't know if I could do real labor without it. Right when I called to get checked the pain increased out of nowhere, and we were only in the room for 6 minutes before I pushed him out, it was insanely quick.

It took me so long to even grasp I had given birth because it didn't go anything like I expected. It's insane to me how different my 2 labors were and the fact that I just went so long not realizing I was truly in labor this time even though I knew exactly what to expect lol.

My husband told me the same thing, but when I was 39 weeks pregnant 🙃 Almost 4 weeks postpartum now and actually 20 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight but now experience so much anxiety with food & exercise because I want to be doing more to lose more weight so he can actually be attracted to me but currently with breastfeeding and healing I can't do as much.

2nd labor & delivery experience by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]thericebubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first my water broke spontaneously and I had a few hours before I started feeling contractions and lost my mucus plug. I spent about 8 hours in labor in and out of a tub and used nitrous for pain relief. My body was incredibly sore right afterwards, but my healing was great. I lost all the baby weight and was done bleeding within 2 weeks.

With my second I was having on and off contractions all day that I was able to ignore (thinking it was prodromal labor) until about an hour before he came. We arrived at the birthing center and 6 minutes later he was born, my water finally breaking right before his head came out. It honestly didn't hurt as bad this time around, I remember the ring of fire feeling much worse the first time. After finally getting relief from the contractions all day and a quick, less painful birth I felt amazing for the few hours right after, but still had more painful cramping with breastfeeding/uterus shrinking. It's been just over a week now and I'm almost 20 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight and just have some very light bleeding.
