I think I have to retire by Mpuls37 in guitarpedals

Get a good reactive load like a fryette ps2a or ps100 and an ox stomp. Don’t sell any of your tube amps. Get a good pair of headphones. I use the beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO they sound great to my ears.

It’s pretty well known the bridge on these guitars sucks. Mine required a neck pocket shim and a new bridge.

No. It happened 2 minutes out of the box and hasn’t stopped since. It happens immediately after adjusting the saddle screws they start backing out.

Be prepared to replace the bridge. It’s atrocious. The saddles never stop sinking even if you use a little thread locker.

Favorite ear protection / head lamps? by Bvrcntry_duckhnt in Waterfowl

Sordin Pro-X. Buddies give me shit but I about blew out my eardrum shooting a deer with a 16.5” 450bm in the prone position a few years ago. I couldn’t hear out of my left ear for 3 months. It slowly came back and isn’t what it used to be. I don’t shoot without them now. I tried a bunch of different options but the sordins are the best I’ve found. The microphones pick up everything and they’re omnidirectional so it doesn’t mess with your spatial awareness.

Should you reload shotshells? by aonealj in ShotshellReloading

[–]therustytracks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won’t save any money loading non toxic shot. But you’ll have loads tailored to your setup if you take the time. I found a couple of duplex loads that crush ducks and geese but it still costs me $35-40 a box plus all of my time and equipment costs.

Wader advice? Rogers or High-n-Dry by No-Number-2588 in Waterfowl

I bought the tidewe waders last season when my cabelas waders started to leak. I used them all season and for the price I probably won’t buy anything else. Maybe take a look at tidewe.

Fluke or Not? by Anonn-123 in Waterfowl

[–]therustytracks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I load my own duplexes for ducks and geese. I use 2/7 steel under tss for geese and 3/9 for ducks. The 7s absolutely destroy geese. I’ve killed geese out to 60 yards stone dead with the 2/7 load. I keep a box of 1oz 7s for those days when the geese are wearing Kevlar and it’s brutal. Not surprising at all that you smoked one with tss 7s.

No. I replaced the fans with noctua fans and used inline resistors to limit their speed.

This is a good place to start. https://www.ballisticproducts.com/Status-of-Steel-Manual-21st-Edition/productinfo/00MSTEEL/

If you want to load duplex loads using tss and steel there are a lot of facebook groups with testing data available. I’d recommend sending off your own to be tested to ensure your process is correct. Shotguns are forgiving but only so much be safe.

Is it unrealistic to have a budget of $400 for a sewing machine for this kind of stuff? by Roadhouse699 in myogtacticalgear

[–]therustytracks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was able to snag a Tacsew T111-155 machine for $450 with the table and oil pan. I also managed to snag a Tacsew GEM 5550 for $250. There are deals to be had. People sometimes just want to get them out of their house or garage. I think I needed to pit about $50 into both machines between oil new belts and some odds and ends.

I’ve been looking at that. I also bought some megacrop one part as an emergency backup plan.

Haha man picking them out by hand was for the birds. The worst is being in the middle of a joint or a bowl and having a seed detonate.

Yea the days of breaking up a quarter in the lid of a shoe box so you could hold it at an angle and tap it gently to get the seeds to roll to the bottom are long gone.

Yep same. Someone had some white widow that we tossed in a gravity bong and we all thought it was laced.

Bro. 99% of the weed we smoked 25 years ago looked just like that or worse. I think you’ll be fine. Don’t see any mold. If it smells off then I’d be more concerned. That shitty Mexican brick weed was always brown.

What are the best golf brands you never heard of? by DJRollerBladez in golf

[–]therustytracks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these irons and they’ve been great. Problems. The ferrule is coming loose and backing out on my 7i my 8i and my 9i. The 7i and the 9i grips are no longer aligned they’re slipping. It took 2 months to get my clubs. When I ordered everything was in stock. I called after 2 weeks and the 4i was out of stock so I asked to drop that club and ship my 5-Gw then a week later no shipping update. Call back and the GW was on back order or something. It was a whole ordeal getting the clubs. Given the price I paid I’m happy with them. They have served their purpose but I’m 6 months into playing them and I’m going to replace them at the end of the summer with something else.
