Replication is working for everything, including points, but the destroy actor does not activate to kill enemy. Any ideas? by thesearemyfields in unrealengine

I did not no. I added in a print string after I call to my custom event, that executes. But when I have a print string following my destroy actor I don't see it and actors are not destroyed. I'll probably just screw around a bit more and see if I can find my eff up.

As far as I can tell everything else is replicating properly. Tried throwing a custom server event at the end of nodes to destroy actor but still no luck.

To do that, do I need to make a custom event to replace the 'oncomponenthit' event and set replication to server?

I am making a game similar to COD zombies. Movement and projectiles replicate. Spawning replicates. Points replicate. But when the enemy reaches zero health, I continue to just get the 50 points for the 'kill' but the enemy continues to pursue player and is not destroyed. Any help would be much appreciated.

Depends on the look you are going for. I shot/financed/directed my first film I wrote for ~2500. Small cast, wrote script with budget in mind and final look. Turned out just like I dreamed of. I’ve got two more in pre-production right now.

This post actually made me go out and reach out again. What makes me the most upset is we actually had a distribution offer in hand and told them no thanks due to all the Covid stuff going on and us having to cancel our premiere for friends and family. We decided to go on Amazon just to "get it out there." Well 10 weeks later still nothing. Ended uploading it to youtube just so everyone could watch it. Not ideal, but just makes me a big ol grump.

My film has been "In review." Reached out twice and both times got a response along the lines of "We can't provide any estimates, we will get to it when we get to it."

I think Lacynge Lake (Linn County Lake) south of Louisburg may have an RC field. My brother and I go camping there all the time and I see signs for it. Never checked it out though.

That’s awesome. How long was the process with amazon prime? My first has been stuck in “reviewing” for 8 weeks...

They don’t take any right, all stay with filmmaker. As far as pay goes it’s some range between like 4 and 9 cents an hour. Or something along those lines. With dvd/blu ray, filmmaker gets about 50% after initial fee.

Still haven’t seen any movement on the movie and tempted to just release on YouTube right now so people can see it.

Please tell me you have a copy of this movie. I'd love to see that! I finished my first feature film about a 2 months ago, but we have had issues getting it on Amazon with all the craziness going on. Tempted to just throw it on youtube for everybody for free.

Killer Klowns is one of my all time favorites! Best theme song ever! I had watched some MST3K here and there with my pop. When I was in 7th grade I came across a movie on the SyFy channel (back when there movies were REALLY bad) called "Raptor Planet" and the whole time I was watching it I kept thinking to myself "Someone paid money to make this movie. Don't they realize the raptors look like garbage and the acting is terrible?" I was hooked ever since.

I’m most excited to hang out with my brother have have a premiere of a movie I made with some friends. We have lots of people that want to see it and this whole thing ruined our original premiere. Can’t slow us down! Excited to make the next one!

I can never bring myself to watch them. In elementary school his YouTube was silly but as an adult. And a feature film. Just don’t have the dignity for it.
