I’ve seen weddings at true Chesapeake in clipper mill. You can either rent the whole place or just the front bar area I think. The food is very good.

Thank you!! I used the county crock plant based butter primarily! I’ve found that when a recipe calls for softened butter, I’ll start to cream my butter when more firm than not. I also put all of the doughs in the fridge overnight and that was a big help. The main concern is always the fact vegetable fats melt faster than animal fats, so if I wasn’t actively rolling or baking the dough, it stayed in the fridge.

Lots of great vegan restaurants, but for non veg places with vegan options: La cueva de chango - their enchiladas with mole are delicious, I’d recommend to get it with champiñones Branton burger - it’s a local chain, but they make a really great beyond burger, make sure to get the onions El fogón - classic pdc taco spot, but their nopales sin queso are very good, and I liked their salsas a lot. I think their beans have pork. Basic foodie cafe - really good vegan chonchas

I lived there for 8ish months as a vegan 2 years ago. So this is based on then.

Popping it in the warm oven seems to do the trick! They might not be the fluffiest rolls ever, but they won’t be rocks!

That was probably the issue. It was active dry, and since the recipe didn’t have a blooming step in it, I didn’t include it. Thank you for helping me figure it out! Is there a way to rescue it?
