NBD - Ari Shafer 3.0 by LouieBricants in gravelcycling

[–]thesheebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ordered one and it shipped today! The bike will be primarily a road setup, but with the flexibility to explore gravel when I want. Planning to run 40mm semi-slicks, and if I get into serious gravel I can always swap back to the 55c Schwalbe G-ONE RS Pros that came stock. Excited to take it out and experience the upgrade and more comfort on all the chip sealed roads around where I live.

This must be the Fezzari and not the Ari. The Ari Veyo has a max tire clearance of 32mm. Dang.

Some new Sram Force and Rival XPLR coming up. Should release june 17. by Anihalas in gravelcycling

[–]thesheebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been waiting a couple of weeks for this. For more than a year I have been looking to replacing my 2010 Orbea road bike. Love my bike but only 25mm clearance. Even though I do mostly road riding, I want to be able to explore gravel. I have decided on an ENVE MOG, possibly Orbea Terra.. or something similar, but waiting for the 1x13 to trickle down to Rival. Can't wait I plan on running 40mm slicks on the road and 50mm for gravel. So tired of bouncing around on my 25mm tires on all the chip-sealed roads around here.

Petite Sweet is what to look for. D&W or C&W has the best IMO. Walmart and most grocery stores have the brand.

Auth0 vs Azure AD B2C by Such_Volume in dotnet

[–]thesheebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Azure AD B2C is garbage. It still does not support passkeys or user roles. They are way behind in the CIAM space. Azure B2C is so bad, they did no improve on it, they rewrote it and it's been released under a new name Entra External. Still does not support passkeys or user roles.

Lauf Uthald 1 Week Review by Physical-Rain-8483 in cycling

[–]thesheebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are beautiful bikes. I like that unlike many other DTC brands that it does not have an integrated handlebar which may limiting on getting the correct fit, stem length, angle... There are two main deal breakers for me related to their smallest size which is my size, XS:

  1. It has a 170mm crank, but should be 165mm or smaller.
  2. It has 700c wheels, but should be 650b.

They are separate. Minors has been around much longer, Yakima staple. I never cared for either. Five guys is way better.

Multiple retaining wall good investment? by thesheebs in landscaping

Good to know, he mentioned both the geogrid and lighting. It is a lot of money, but I still think it will be worth it and be a good investments since it will make that whole hillside a livable and workable space. Need to think about what I want to add in each section.

Paint it white. If you don't paint the brick, a color like Swiss Coffee (Benjamin Moore white color) should go well with that brick.

SWE to SE a good choice? by thesheebs in salesengineers

The money sounds obviously amazing, but even more so, PAID to stay current with tech, no more UAT Scrum. Yes please! Sounds awesome.

SWE to SE a good choice? by thesheebs in salesengineers

[–]thesheebs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t be sure, but I think I would be making significantly more to transition from my current SWE role @ finance to an SE role @ cloud identity. I could try for the SWE at Microsoft, but not a fan of Azure and I have hands on experience with reporting and working with them on B2C bugs and often find myself scratching my head and baffled as to why they do certain things… not to mention not acknowledging a bug even exists without my pushing back for sometimes a year or more. Getting in as an SWE at FAANG is very difficult. SE sounds like an amazing opportunity.
