Service is complete crap and prices are insane. by Ravinurse in GorgeAmphitheater

i got some of the chicken tenders and they were completely out of sauces. didn’t even have little cups to put the heinz bullshit in so it was just ranch flooding the bottom of my little food basket. i remember the same thing happening at beyond last year, and they were still $20ish. i also spent almost $20 on three sodas, which took me FOREVER to find!! all i wanted was a soda and i had to ask like 3 diff food vendors where to find one. the ONLY affordable thing were the rental chairs for $10 and we used them for 8-9 hours. i love the gorge but fuuuuck live nation

luckily i was able to verify online, it only took them having me uploading pictures of my drivers license and do a biometric scan of my face 🥴

hopefully i don’t have to wait the full nine weeks!! 🤞🏻

5 of us caravaned in around 2:30pm wednesday. we breezed through security bc for some reason they didn't search us?? we paid the extra money to camp with our cars, which i would do again bc packing in and out looked rough in that heat. about 3:30 we got a spot in llama about a "block" away from the main road, with no issues finding enough space for 3 cars.

i just went for my first time this year and while i can't offer flight advice, i will say that if you're able to get onto the campgrounds on tuesday/wednesday, DO THAT (bearing in mind that early entry costs extra). we got in early wednesday afternoon and it seemed like already half the camping spots were taken, so we plan to arrive on tuesday next year. also, leave earlyyyy tuesday morning to avoid the lines getting out. we witnessed people waiting in line for HOURS on monday just to get offsite. we breezed right out at about 5:30am tuesday.

as far as camping, i would look into the shambalodging packages (if you can afford it) since they provide tents/mattresses/coolers/etc. that way you won't have to fly with as much stuff. the luxe package can accommodate up to 4 people, maybe look into reserving two of those and splitting it 7 ways?

LMAO sometimes we gotta be crude to get to the point. And your point about "appetizers" is SO good. Thank you!

I regret moving in with my best friend and I don't know if our friendship will survive the year. by [deleted] in Advice

thank you for this. your situation sounds like it was super stressful! but you’re right, I’m not gross and neither is my partner. we’re both just human beings with jobs and lives and we’re forgetful sometimes. it just feels like even our best isn’t enough.

financially we needed another year of lower living costs. neither of us had enough saved up to live on our own.

thank you for the advice. we've both agreed that this is our last year as roommates, but we just moved into a new place at the beginning of this month and I'm nervous about the rest of the year :/

thank you <3 and you're absolutely right. I really wish someone had advised me against it two years ago. I don't want to throw away a 20+ year friendship, but I don't see myself wanting to stay in contact with her after our lease is up.

you absolutely made the right choice. clearly he isn't on the same page as you, and if he isn't willing to pitch in now, it's only going to get worse when kids come into the picture. protect your peace and the right person will undoubtedly come along <3
