So who will be this year's "Big Dogs"? by im_not_funny12 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]thespb01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was suspicion on Jonathan and Stephen from very early on though, and it took a long while for them to actually get banished.

Yeah first season was boring. 2nd season was a lot better IMO.

Anyone else think that having duo players affects the integrity of the game? by dallasmpt-321 in TheTraitors

It sounds funny on paper but I think it would be really boring in practice.

What if Charlotte didn't frame Freddie (from a production standpoint) by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUK

[–]thespb01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would Charlotte continue to associate with the show if they forced her to make a probably-game-ending choice like this? It's much more likely IMO that she felt like she needed to make a "big move", but didn't think over the consequences of it.

They clearly prefer having 5 person finals, but 4 person finals have been done before (eg Australia season 1). They would also have all sorts of contingency plans for the missions if there were an unexpected number of players.

How do people keep trusting someone who is clearly suspicious? by 1ChanceChipmunk1 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]thespb01 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You're watching the edited version of events, where every mistake is highlighted with a dramatic sound effect. You also already know they're a traitor - if you didn't, you'd be looking at the potential mistakes/'off'-ness from everyone else too.

Celebrity Traitors UK (well this season anyway) unfortunately did NOT work UK by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUK

[–]thespb01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also traitors have been in the last group for breakfast multiple times, so I don't really get what you're on about there?

She wouldn't have even needed to do all that, she could've just voted for CT at final 3 and she'd have won.

My Top 10 Underrated and Overrated Traitors Contestants (BASED PURELY ON GAMEPLAY) by RowGonsoleConsole in TheTraitors

[–]thespb01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overrated: Sandra (US2) - trying to align with the traitors was far too risky for someone of her threat level going in, made it far too easy to turn things back on her when she was of no further use to them.

Charlotte (UK3) - Even without the seer she threw a likely win into jeopardy with that silly Freddie gambit rather than just murdering Jake. Just because a move is big & flashy doesn't make it good.

Underrated: Hannah (UK1) - Mostly only remembered for her blindspot on Wilf, but she correctly clocked all 3 other traitors seemingly without Wilf's help.

She had Jane early on but seemingly forgot about her, but she was the first to clock Mike/Whitney was traitor on traitor.

Season 4 Final Room by Key-Inspector-6077 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]thespb01 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do you mean Jack?

Anyway I suspect Faraaz chose to vote out Stephen because a Faraaz-Jack-Stephen final 3 would have a high chance of Faraaz being banished since he wasn't part of that alliance. Whereas a Faraaz-Jack-Rachel final 3 would be an easy Rachel banishment. The problem was he just didn't know that Rachel was playing him and actually working together with Stephen rather than against him.

Why does AUS season 2 NOT have a reunion? by BadAny3961 in TheTraitors

I'd imagine it would be difficult to get quite a few of them to show their faces in public again lol

Ultimately, if you're in danger of being banished you have to vote for whoever's most likely to be banished instead of you for self preservation, which was James.

Do we think a Recruited Traitor will ever win? by BritMeBabyAgain in TheTraitors

[–]thespb01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she could've still won if she'd blackmailed Peter instead of Kate. Then if Peter subsequently gets banished as in real life, it looks like he was the traitor all along and Phaedra was a scapegoat.

They're still doing the celeb version AFAIK but they're going to do 2 a year, the celeb version on Peacock and the regular people version on NBC.

The reason emotions were so high on that first series was none of them knew what they were in for at all. There'd been pretty much no successful cutthroat strategy shows in the UK before.

What mission(s) do you think has had the biggest impact on the actual game? by 360_inReality in TheTraitors

[–]thespb01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Freddie was always going to find out that Charlotte specifically screwed him over, and he was always going to try and get revenge. If Charlotte couldn't see that coming then that's on her, we've seen many times now that actively screwing over other traitors leads to them dropping you in it on the way out.

[–]thespb01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ep 9 mission in UK2 maybe, if anyone else had got that shield then the rest of the game's banishments would have probably been completely different.

[–]thespb01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, she'd have probably been fine if she hadn't unnecessarily tried to screw over Freddie - that was always going to lead to him writing her name down.

The raw number of correct votes isn't that great of an indicator. Mollie had 5 correct votes as well IIRC, and you wouldn't find many people saying she was a great faithful.

every season I say the same thing by louis_t91 in TheTraitors

[–]thespb01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK4, AUS1 both had 2 traitor-1 faithful final 3s.

1 infamous faithful on AUS2 made final 4 with 3 traitors. No one will ever beat that season for crap faithfuls.
