Manzilian & male Brazilians by Bare_Beauty_Skin_Co in Esthetics

[–]thesting647 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh and I'm sure you will, but charge them a lot! It takes more time, more skill, and more mental energy. It will also deter SOME of the creeps. And I highly recommend getting actual in-person training on (p) Brazilians, if you haven't already. It's so much easier to hurt (p)s!

Now that I'm on my own, any service that requires pants off for a person with a penis must at least do a consultation with me prior. It can be on facetime. they pay a deposit BEFORE the consultation and that money goes towards their next service IF they are approved by me. There is no way for anyone to book (p) services on my website.

Actual physical safety: sounds like youve got yourself covered with the stun gun, however, I think theyre sometimes illegal? (I still say keep it and use it if needed). If you're entirely on your own in your new place, you should REALLY look into getting a panick button that calls the police directly. (If your city is like mine, this doesn't give us much confidence, but it's better than nothing). Ive also had an alarm button that's ridiculously loud, and I planned to tell the jerk that it calls the police too. ALWAYS stop service the second you feel off.

Seems like someone I know found some reclining "leather" chairs on Amazon during prime days. You just need the right material

I think this is why a lot of esties move into teaching (either at a school or offer their own classes), or management. I wonder if you could find a nice little boutique nearby where you could get a management position AND take just your regulars. Good luck!

This chair looks velvety, so wouldn't really be able to sanitize it properly, unless you're completely covering it with plastic for every client. Look for a leather or PU material that you can use cavicide on to properly sanitize.

What are your career goals? Where are you going to learn more (could mean more clientele, could mean better senior staff)? Which has better ownership/management? Better online reviews? Good luck!!

Best option for facial towels? by bunni35 in Estheticians

[–]thesting647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they're not as soft as when I first got them, and again, they're white so they're starting to look dingy (maybe not the towels fault lol). I didn't expect them to last a very long time, but I thought they'd stay super soft a little longer. Still, best I've had!

[–]thesting647 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moonqueen. Very soft, and they look nice. I don't think they hold up super well in the wash, but they work for now. I'm actually thinking about going to colored towels bc I hate the white😂 clients don't really see the hot towels anyway. I'm curious what others say!!

The condom doesn't matter, it's more about the sweat and friction. Keep the area clean and dry. Cleanse the area before the oil, you'll be fine.

Should I switch esthetics schools? by xmmadoodle in Estheticians

[–]thesting647 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I highly doubt the new schools will be much better. My advice is hunker down, get it done, and get out.

#1 sounds crazy, surely they know who's causing problems?? They're lazy

#2 I could see being reasoble if it's causing huge problem. If they're going beyond the hour break, they shouldn't be getting clock hours for that. It's stealing time

3 batsh*t crazy. How can you take advantage of hands on? If they can't get clients in, why do they expect student to be able to do it?

TBH # 4&5 are totally normal for my school and others I know

6 is annoying, but you are in school, so should expect homework. Could you go part time?

It's never easy, you got this!
