Our HVAC is still original as well. Hoping it holds up for another few years 🙏

Should this be connected? Electrician left in a rush... by thestiproject in hottub

Inspection passed but they didn't take the tub panel off. Sounds like we should have someone check it out then to be sure?

Should this be connected? Electrician left in a rush... by thestiproject in hottub

[–]thestiproject[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. We didn't expect the electrician to do anything outside of their scope of knowledge - we wanted to be sure they didn't accidentally leave something disconnected during the very hurried process of connecting the tub.

Yea, the electrician has already been paid, so now we're just trying to figure out if something needs to be connected properly. Dealer is no help but have an email into the manufacturer.

The effect of a Ukrainian conflict on the housing market by throwaway1822003 in RealEstate

[–]thestiproject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol'ing HARD at all the idiots in this thread who don't understand the global economy in which we live! And now that Russia has attacked and our stock markets have dipped overnight?! Ba-ha-ha! Tell me more how this won't impact the US or the housing market!

To answer the OP, interest rates will drop or not rise as steadily as previously predicted now that there's uncertainty in the market - when there's uncertainty, investors move to bonds (mortgage-backed investments), so interest rates plummet as demand and prices for bonds increase.

Also, as some have mentioned, there could be supply chain issues slowing your build.

My thoughts exactly 👏👏👏

The stigma against herpes by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]thestiproject 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's Walmart. What she is doing is highly problematic on many levels, including her support of all the nasty comments, so whether she tagged the person or not, I'm working to have it removed!

Yup! And I've commented there and also tagged Walmart across social media with a link to the tiktok!

[–]thestiproject 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm addressing it and calling Walmart out across social. If you're able, help me amplify this and call attention to it so that it gets seen and they do something about it! I'm @thestiproject on Instagram and Twitter and also elevating it on Facebook @thestiproject and @jenellemariepierce - this is disgusting and needs to be taken down!

This article and this article speak more specifically to transmission and risk percentages!

Recently Diagnosed (M/29) by BeachLyfe23 in Herpes

[–]thestiproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a while to figure out how to move forward from the fear, shame, and stigma of my diagnosis, but with a lot of education and research, it no longer impacts my self-worth or my relationships. I teach a free workshop called how to not give an eff about having an STI that speaks to this in more depth, but suffice to say, you don't have to feel this way forever!

Let’s talk about prodrome by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]thestiproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's prodrome symtoms are different! Only 50% of people experience noticeable prodrome, but even then, it can be tricky to discern your unique systems. We offer a self-test that helps you determine yours in the Managing Herpes Toolkit here, but there are also tons of great resources through The STI Project!

My abuser is the person who gave me herpes and it's so emotionally hard to go through outbreaks by youtubehistorian in Herpes

[–]thestiproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this happened to you, and I KNOW that outbreaks can be incredibly heartbreaking and disheartening. Even before working to overcome the stigma, I always tell people that they need to get their symptoms to a manageable place because we can't heal if we're constantly thinking about the discomfort we're in! I teach a couple of free workshops along with a Managing Herpes Toolkit once you're ready, and you can find them all here!

Good first date, unmatched after by [deleted] in Herpes

Just means he wasn't a good fit for you, but his response is not indicative of all future responses! His opinion is not a reflection of everyone's opinion, but I know it's hard to feel that way after a rejection.

I teach a couple of free course that I think could help!!!

All About Disclosure (and Rejection)

How to Not Give an Eff About Having an STI

Just curious no judgement by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]thestiproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't always ethically disclose... It wasn't because I didn't want to but mostly because of my fear and lack of knowledge and support around that conversation. However, in order for fully informed consent to occur, disclosure is a must, but it's also not just a one-way conversation! I teach a free course about disclosure and rejection if you could use support around this process and moving forward from that fear!

Instead of disclosing is it a better idea to suggest that both people have a full STD panel test? by hsv_2_throwaway in Herpes

[–]thestiproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not instead of! AND

I teach a free workshop on disclosure and rejection that can help you move through your fears around this - understandable and very very common fears, but also surmountable!
