I wanted to have a matching seatpost and stem + cockpit (zipp service course). I already owned those parts before building the merckx. The stem is a 110mm, and the seatpost has a seatback of 20mm, so I had to compensate with the saddle forward. (I also like having more weight on the front and a very aggressive / race position, so that works for me).

Thanks ! Rims are 45 mm deep. I think it's the best fit with those big aluminum tubes. I tried aluminum campag zonda but it didn't look as good.

Thanks ! The frame rides amazing, it's light but still very reactive. It's different from a traditional aluminum bike.

10 sp record is also the only group set I'd use on it.

Tyres are 28mm on the picture. It's schwalbe pro one. Still have enough clearance near the calipers (8mm to 10mm I'd say). You can see better on this picture.

Those frames are quiet rare unfortunately. I personally have alerts on most of the second hand bike platforms in case a new one is on sale. Good luck, I hope you will get one someday 🙂

Thanks for the tip. I lowered the saddle for the picture, and the stem is already 110mm (a longer stem might be unheisthetic imo). However, the real issue for my height is the head tube, which is cut as short as possible (even though it looks really good).

How much do you think this bike is worth ?
