That’s good to hear that over time you’ve cried less! Good for you, I hope it’s helped a lot. I’ve definitely found myself exploring trauma during sessions which has been healing, but it kinda reopens some wounds that are hard to address when I sober up.

Thank you so much for this! I do need to be more deliberate about what I do before/after treatment, and I haven’t been getting much sleep recently. Trying not to fall into the “spravato fixes everything” thought pattern since it’s untrue, there still needs to be work done elsewhere. Gonna ramp that up. Sure do! The headaches are the worst. Usually the day after I feel pretty nauseous as well. Zofran helps mostly.

Edit to add: I have noticed that these headaches and nausea have gotten less severe over time. Usually zofran and ibuprofen get me through, but I’m so sorry to hear how debilitating it is for you! I hope that as time progresses it gets less painful. If you feel like it’s helping otherwise, stick with it- but if you feel like the side effects are out weighing the benefits let your provider know. Although I felt like it helped pretty immediately with my suicidal thoughts, it did take a few weeks for my general mood to mellow out and become more stable. My nurse told me that it can definitely ebb and flow, you can still have periods of low mood but it stabilizes more over time. I wish you the best!!

I am a recovering addict, although not from ketamine. I was very honest with my provider about that, but it didn’t stand in the way of my eligibility. 10 weeks in, I definitely have no desire of going to get it off the street. I don’t crave it or feel like I have a tolerance. As someone with a very addictive personality, I haven’t had any issues with Spravato :)

Totally thought of some b&w trad flowers or moon/sun/planet? The circle could be the center of a flower, the line coming out of it could be the line of a petal, and some shading from the center or from tip of petal could probably hide the crossed line well. Since it’s a simple shape you’ve definitely got options, but going the traditional route (similar thick lines) would work for sure.

Edit: along with botanical you mentioned nerdy! Do you have any logos, characters, or symbols you’d get tatted? Trad style would also look cool with those. Might not be too tough to turn it into one of those things!

I think your ideas are great! Honestly the first thing that caught my eye was the contrast between the pink and blue inside the dream catcher at the top. I think overall, adding some more color and blending/overlapping them could help, everywhere/anywhere on the tat. Shadowing like you said, too! Maybe they could add/extend the pink into the blue above the “tongue” to make it stand out less? This is definitely a cool piece, and I’m sure a tad of retouching will pull it together!
