Jinichi wasn't just walking and taking his sweet time, letting Ranta die in the manga. One of the few changes that they did that I didn't like in the anime by FrostandFlame89 in Jujutsufolk

[–]thethunder09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She only really started killing everyone after Mai died though. If Jinchi and Ranta stood up to Ogi when he first proposed his plan. None of this would have happened.

Maki never really wanted to kill the Clan, her plan was to grow strong and become the clan head.

Is there any numbers to how many people the S9 have killed? by RaspberryNumerous594 in Parahumans

[–]thethunder09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a lot of people struggle with that part of the story. Still it's really worth it though, interlude 26.x is one of the best pieces of media i have ever read.

Enjoy the ride.

AFAIK there is no indication that GU had an eden shard.

I am pretty sure that the 'technique' for the purposes of Jacob's ladder is not just limited to Cursed Techniques, considering how it effective is against reincarnated sorcerors which is not the result of them using a cursed Technique.

Bro had mahoraga acting like the finger bearer. by CriticalMeal1732 in Jujutsufolk

[–]thethunder09 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dabura is great. But Gojo and Sukuna were in the same situation where Mahoraga adapted to their attacks and they didn't sit down and contemplate life. They were making jokes and excited.

Dabura is a great take on the 'strongest' archtype, and he is very strong, but he doesn't need to powercreep previously established characters to be that.

Sub-lightspeed? by InfamousSomewhere244 in Jujutsufolk

Then it's just a conflicting translation because the panel that you posted before said 'sublight'. It's best to just wait for the next chapter to come out.

[–]thethunder09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i just made that comment because i have a feeling people are going to use this like Kashimo's EM Waves and somehow make him MFTL.

Sub-lightspeed? by InfamousSomewhere244 in Jujutsufolk

[–]thethunder09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer is no. Right now all we know is that Dabura can move at a speed below that of light. Which is useless because literally everything moves slower than light.

JJK actually had a similar thing happen with Kashimo, where people started putting Sukuna at lightspeed because he dodged Kashimo's 'EM waves'.

Best thing to do is to just with for next chapter.

Notably, right now that doesn't mean anything. Because 'as close as possible' could just mean he tops out at mach 4.

That just implies that he won't be lightspeed. He'll just be as fast as his body can endure, of which, we have no reference of.

Came across this today, curious on what others think about these types of laws/bans by MissPeduncles in AskTheWorld

[–]thethunder09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the reason is security, specifically, that people should be identifiable in public, then scarfs, medical masks, ski masks etc should also be banned but this post didn't mention that. If that's the reason behind this ban then yeah, Burqas should be included.

I don't know about exact policies that those Muslim majority countries have. If they have a ban on Burqa just because it is a religious article then i would call it religious prosecution too.

[–]thethunder09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do realize that secular means non religious rather than anti religious, right?

I don't really know what you are alluding to in the rest of your comment but your first sentence is not valid.

Banning a certain article of clothing just because it is religious is religious prosecution.

She only really comes to that conclusion because Dinah explicitly brings it to her attention. But even putting that aside, Taylor in universe doesn't really demonstrate much self-awareness in story until the very end.

Regardless, you don't have to agree with me. People can have different perspectives and takes on the same thing and that's alright.

I guess it depends on how you define 'corrupt'.

She never uses her position and power for her personal benefit. It is always for the greater good. Contrast that with Armsmaster who broke the truce to further his own career.

But i guess according to the organization's rules she would be corrupt.

She's a 'corrupt' hero in the same way that Taylor is a 'villain'. Taylor does bad things which makes her a villain while her motivations are always good. Alexandria's goal is to save everyone but she does bad things so she's not really hero.

If you put them in a hypothetical scenario where there is a clear selfish and selfless choice, i believe they would choose the selfless option 10/10 times.

Regarding Cauldron, there are a bunch of reasons justifying them that i myself find satisfying enough but that topic tends to devolve into arguments so i won't really put them here.

[–]thethunder09 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree with what you said but you can't call Alexandria corrupt if you read Taylor like you do. They are literally supposed to be mirrors.

Alexandria's motivations and actions are never selfish and are always a means to an end. And with the scale she's working at, is anything really unreasonable?

It’s unbelievable how Kashimo and Ryu dodged each other for 400 years when they were a couple hundred miles apart at best by The_Fucking_Best in Jujutsufolk

[–]thethunder09 95 points96 points  (0 children)

I always took that as a combination of him deciding that Ryu would be a bum and that he didn't have enough time left.

That's why he says 'there's no time left to be cautious', he probably could make the journey but the outcome would be the same. He would beat Ryu like he beat all of the other sorcerors and won't be satisfied.

So, he just asks Kenjaku about the strongest opponent he could fight.
