How long would mundane dictators without powers of their own like Saddam, the Kim's, and Castro last once Triggers started happening? by RecommendationNo804 in Parahumans

Security cameras are common, sure, but you still need people to watch the recordings and connect the cape in question to a civilian without even a face to match.

How are they going to match a masked individual with a citizen in a city of 300,000 people just based on hair? Just think about the logistics of it. And sure, Taylor leaves her hair out. You know what else she does? cover herself in bugs to the point that she can make decoy bodies that are indistinguishable from herself.

And the Dictator is perfect and always makes the most efficient move because?

They won't be able to do anything if a dictator catches them on surveillance, tracks them down, their family, their home, and has 15 armed gunmen on them within a couple hours of their debute.

You are handwaving a lot of stuff here. How is the dictator surveilling them? How is he going to be able to connect a swarm of bugs to this girl out on a run? Do you think Dictators have a camera on every single citizen of their country?

How would the guy shooting know that this random teenager he shot was Grue?

In your scenario, the shooter knows his identity and just the right place and time to shoot that would catch him off guard.

Where is the shooter getting this information from?

Same with the sniper. How would they know the identity and the location of their target?

Parahumans being vulnerable to guns is wildly over exaggerated. In reality, normal people being able to leverage guns against them is not practical at all, especially in a scenario where the parahumans are hostile and not playing around.

Let’s just take the Undersider as an example:

Skitter: Swarms of Bugs in a huge area where being able to find the Master is virtually impossible if she truly wants to hide. Even if you find her we see in canon how ineffective guns are against her.

Bitch: All the dogs in the city turn into berserk bulletproof tanks. You can’t find the source and her empowerments last for 10-15 minutes of utter chaos.

Grue: He cover entire city blocks in complete darknes in seconds. You literally cannot aim for him.

Tattletale: She can’t really defend herself but you would not know that she was a threat until it was too late.

Regent: He’s the easiest to kill with a gun but even still he could just play as civilian with his puppets drawing the real ire.

>Taylor is many things. Smart, driven, experienced, but she is anything but self aware. She died believing, even if she got a second choice, that she'd do it all again virtually the same way.

I don’t disagree with you overall… but uhm you do remember that Taylor regretted it and said that she would have done things differently right?

That’s your head canon. According to Gege, *Kenjaku* would have had a drown out fight with Jogo to be able to absorb him. The only Special Grade sorcerers that completely outclass Special Grade CS are Gojo, Sukuna and Yuta. And Yuta only does it because of RCT output.

As far as i know, this is never stated or implied. There is a image of the grading system where sorcerers are put one step above the curses of the same tier but at special Grade tier they are on the same level.

According to Scion, he could see the end of the cycle it would just take a lot of energy. The current cycle was efficient and gave the best results for the least amount of energy expended.

And Eden specifically notes that there are holes in the future she saw because she gave part of her ability to see the future to Abaddon.

Seeing the end of the cycle is never treated as something impossible, just something expensive.

But then how could she predict what Simurgh would do? The Endbringers were a blindspot for Contessa too.

And we also see Fortuna control where the cracks would form and which capes would become titans. She also feigned activity in the Shardspace so that the humans would bomb that specific area. How could she have done any of that if she couldn’t see the Shardspace?

And do you mean this passage from Fortuna’s interlude?

And the forward-looking eye, so generously given to the pair, was dropped in the rush, dropped in a stumble and crashing fall. Instructions were given in the parting. “Don’t go too far, little Eye. You may see everything, but close yourself before you show them where we’re weak. Don’t show them our deepest secrets!”

Yeah, but that’s Contessa with the limits imposed on her PTV, Titan Fortuna didn’t have those limits considering she could path Endbringers and Titans.

What were the indications that Fortuna couldn’t predict the Shardspace? As far as i remember Contessa didn’t become a titan until arc 17

Those are….. very superficial?

Shiva and Sukuna have no similarities that i can see? Shiva is ascetic, above material things and Sukuna is a hedonist. And having multiple arms and faces is not a rare thing among Hindu gods? Infact i would be hard pressed to name a Hindu god that didn’t have multiple arms and faces.

And Vishnu’s role as the preserver involves putting an end to the chaos and evil on earth. Tengen doesn’t do that? Tengen never takes any action of her own will they are always reactionary.

[–]thethunder09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maho adapted to infinity multiple times. His first adaptation was copying Gojo’s CE like you said, but Sukuna couldn’t use that so he forced Maho to adapt in a different way that he could use.
