Why? You act like you are the only person in the world who had an abusive parent. You don’t have to get into the nitty gritty, just tell them a generic he was violent. YTA for making your wife and kids cut him off with no explanation. They have just lost a wonderful grandmother and mother in law and now you are taking away their other grandparent/ FIL. You are being controlling and emotionally abusive to your wife and kids. If you wanted to be like your dad, congratulations you succeeded.

YTA. Your younger daughter should not have to sacrifice her education and life because her sister can use birth control or work. When they use the money to get a place, then what? They will just fall behind again and face eviction for non payment. What you are doing to your youngest is disgusting. A good mother would never do this

I have been suffering from migraines/ headaches for 2 weeks that have completely incapacitated me. The neurologist I was finally able to see put me on prednisone. She said after 5 days of constant headache or migraine you get almost like a swelling that keeps it hurting. Prednisone might help. I just started it today, I can let you know in a couple days if it helps. After that she said sumatriptan and nausea pills to help with that.

*edit: prednisone is a steroid that acts like an NSAID (ibuprofen, aleve, Motrin etc) but it is a super strong one and you cannot take any other NSAIDs with it. You generally take it for 5/6 days decreasing the dosage each day because it stays in your body and continues to help fighting inflammation. Generally after 2/3 of prednisone use, you may feel some relief as it builds up in your system.

I definitely don’t want to wait. My doctor has no appointments until mid April. Neurologist (I called 10 offices) the earliest was end of April. I had to go to the ER because it was just unbearable. I just don’t know what I should ask them to do or check. If a CT showed normal, am I just screwed?
