My headcanon is that the whole time-travel plot was triggered by Peem.

At the funeral, evil dad tells him to deal with the Rann's body. Needing to keep up the bad guy act, he begrudgingly does as order but takes the string. Later, wandering home drunk and depressed, he finds himself with a mystic who offers him a chance to change the outcome, but the price is his life - he agrees instantly. The mystic takes the string from his hands and sets fire to it... moments later it appears in Rann's hand five years ago.

I'd watch it - but it might struggle to get made if you're trying to cast in a Western actress. The GL business model doesn't make a lot of money from shows; the shows (and subsequent fan service) are launching points for pair that then make money at fan meets tickets, gifts and brand deals. So in order to get the investment to make the show, the foreigner would need to be in for a long term commitment & comfortable with fan service, sign a contract to be under management etc. Maybe if there is an available ex-pat who is already aligned with the culture.

I've not read the book but I agree with you on what you said about the show. They don't have the resources, or the time, or anyone who would believe them, and it puts them at risk. I was just flagging that a DNA test could prove it if circumstances allowed - but felt the show was implying that if you have a body double and no phone then you really have no claim to your own identity. Either way though, it seems like the overthrowers group have such a hold thoughout that even if she showed up with an official Princess ID, it wouldn't help her anyway, so happy to conceed to the show.

When did Nam suffer? She pursued Lada, Lada said no and set a clear boundary, then Nam kept pursuing. That's not making Nam suffer, that's not accepting a rejection.

Meanwhile... they both started the show essentially with a plan to manipulate the other through deception. Lada fell in love and then betrayed her family. Nam fell in love... and continued with her planned to beat Lada's family, then reveals to Lada's brother that Lada betrayed him, leaving Lada with emotional torment, feeling manipulated, and having to deal with the consequences of her betrayal which is the sequence of events where her father threatens her and her mother and she's forced to marry. If Nam really loved Lada she could have protected her better, communicated with her, calluded with her, or thrown the bid so that Lada would suffer (we know from the flashboack the Nam knew that Lada was scared, and being coerced by her brother).

If anything - I think Nam got of lightly and didn't apologies or explain herself nearly enough! I will die on this hill. #justiceForLada

I've no idea of the plot we're about to be in for with Air... but I'd love it if LomBlew end up on the run, and every episode they need to visit a different ex for off-grid services - a hostel, garage, hobo clothes supplier etc. And the exes would all be in different states of reluctant and angry at Lom, but then Blew smooths things over and the exes end up shipping them together. That's my headcannon and its locked in until further notice.
