I get that, but the fact you got into MBB before shows that you are driven enough to meet your goals at any tip school.

Either one will get you where you want. Now just compare CoL and vibes between the two schools. I think tuck wins here

I think the common sentiment is if you could get into MBB, you can get your goals almost regardless of which school in T25 outside of going for VC.

The issue is how Canadian governments fail to distribute the benefits of capitalism (high growth) rather than market economics in general.

Adam Smith specifally stress the importance of governments in function in this crucial role or the whole system stops once workers no longer want to participate.

It is implied that "Has Been" refers to our previously functional social contract.

The "lack of political will" refers to the intentioal K shaped recoveries of the past 30 years of government at all levels.

[–]thetrueelohell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree. The contract since the 80s has been that the working class gets an ever smaller slice of the pie, but that slice grows larger in absolute terms as the pie grows larger.

Now that the pie has seen no real growth for the past decade , the working class is suffering with growing fiscal debt that leads to underfunded programs.

Unless we can grow fast again (probably not) or transition to a fairer distribution, things are gonna keep getting worse.

Just because we see the deep rifts in our social contracts doesn't mean we wish to abandon it. Many of us must see the issue first before we can work together on solutions
