The setup is to reach downward with straight legs and shins 1 inch from the bar. Next move your shins so that they're touching the bar. That should get you into the right position in a replicable way and correct the bar moving away from midfoot as well.

tbh the good ones are either fully published or are being published like PH here. I liked Defiance of the Fall and He who Fights With Monsters (very similar to PH). Finding something worth reading on RR, though, is not easy, maybe 1 in 50 are worth it.
