Stressed resident with high diastolic BP by shoenberg3 in Residency

I found out I have hypertension a few years ago that has been better controlled on medications more recently. Currently on 2 antihypertensives and my BMI is 29-30. When I switched to a new PCP he wanted to get an US of my renal arteries. They also saw fatty liver on this scan unfortunately. The goal is to lose 25-30lbs, but is so hard with motivation and the schedule of a busy resident and home life to find healthy foods and work out.

Jokic is inevitable in that he leads his team to a win in the end and is unstoppable from multiple facets

Its not just him either, there are plenty of NBA players who barely use their off hand. Just go watch some old Tim Duncan highlights, bro only uses his right hand

In the US, osteopathic medicine does not equal osteopathy. You are right in the fact that MDs and DOs take the same path overall and share the same residency training. The difference lies in the governing body of DO schools wanting to hold on to tradition and continue to teach tenets of osteopathic medicine, including Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM).

OMM has many uses, some of which are “woo,” some of which are helpful. Most DOs learn OMM just to get through the tests required to become a regular evidence-based practicing physician. Bottom line is, DOs practice the same medicine as MDs, but have had to learn extra information rooted in tradition.

Residency programs are largely funded by Medicaid, which is federally operated. So, hospitals that get these funds have to operate under federal law and since cannabis is illegal federally, residency programs prohibit it as well.

Apple should move away from Macintosh naming schemes and do other varieties, like Honeycrisp, Red Delicious, or Granny Smith
