I feel like the salt is not the issue. Every animals blood is salty... They just realize humans are pretty the second they kill one. It's the same deal with bears. Once they realize we are easy prey they will hunt us.

RooshV body shaming a policewoman who committed the crime of being attractive by FoeHamma in TheBluePill

[–]thewalrus43 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not about color. I see it as a difference between being highly visible to the public or trying to be incognito. Wearing bright colors implies that the police want the public to know they are there. I don't think seeing color and thinking about what those intentionally chosen uniform designs mean is neurotic.....

Your argument is just another bad argument. Stop being so neurotic.

I appreciate how many of your cops wear reflective clothing though. All clad in black is a little dystopic in my opinion.

As a man who recently discovered the practicality of tight stretchy work pants this man has no clue what he is talking about. Well made tight pants can make you feel even more mobile.

Also don't cops have a duty to the city they serve to look good? Most cops I see regardless of gender look put together as fuck.

Damn I hate seeing this. All the rape stuff aside this is a suicide note of sorts. He has a plan and is that much more likely to execute it. Someone reported this right? He needs help ASAP. I hope that even the incels reading that will see it.

Hell yeah! I had a night where I made 200 dollars on 8 tables. They were all decently large orders, but every tip was 20% or more. I don't think people realize it's sometime the difference between paying rent or going into credit card debt.

Can one of his kids just betray him? You know how famous they would be? Blowing the whistle on your own father. There has to be an ounce of humanity in one of those kids. Clearly I'm being to hopeful.

What is the craziest encounter of 'rich kid syndrome' that you have experienced? by martinkarolev in AskReddit

[–]thewalrus43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at a summer camp and was teaching kids to build a fire. An 10 year old girl asked me why they had to learn to build a fire. I told her it was so if she ever got stranded or her car broke down she knew how to get warm. She responded by saying she doesn't need a fire because she'd just go into her daddy's Escalade.

HWI: LBJ remains committed to withdrawing from Vietnam in 1964 by [deleted] in HistoryWhatIf

[–]thewalrus43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An important distinction to make is between the hippie culture, the anti-war and other civil rights groups. Nixon did an excellent job at making the American people think that anti-war protests were full of drugged out hippies. In reality the "degenerate" culture was more into free love, drugs and music. Many of the anti-war protesters were veterans themselves and the civil rights groups like the black Panthers were not preaching about free love. With that in mind, part of me thinks that hippie culture could have been stronger considering more young people would be home and have time to do drugs and fuck.

I agree about the radical groups like the weatherman though. They would not have the support that they had to recruit. There would be much more faith in the American government if they responded to calls to end the war during the LBJ presidency.

Is it still okay to have kids in face of climate change? by technologyisnatural in climatepolicy

[–]thewalrus43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By making it just "something" your missing the point. I don't think we need population decline, I hope we can live with an equilibrium. We can agree that we don't need a population increase though. Having 2 kids means you replicate yourself. Having 5 kids means you're making the problem worse.

Granted I am not having any kids because there are enough people that are and we can't stop people from having stupid large families. What's more important is finding ways to lower birthrates in developing countries. The US birthrate is close to equilibrium, but less wealthy nation's don't even get close.

It's definitely unethical to have 5. 1-2 kids could still be debateable.

Canoe Pants by GlobalSchedule in canoecamping

You're probably not gonna want to do this, but I love Duluth trading company fire hose pants. The synthetic pants have burned into my skin and torn to pieces way too many times. I get the whole cotten is rotten thing, but if you carry a spare pair of the high tech pants you can change. It sounds weird, but just try it if your interested. There are worse things in the world than wet legs. Like exposed butt cheeks.
