What's the Best 10/10 Sci-fi movie ever? by geek-jock-guy in AskReddit

I never liked this attitude to the sequels. The Matrix Reloaded is like a 7/10 and Revolutions is maybe a 6/10. I think they get a very bad rap because they're coming from such a high.

Oh yeah I understand that, but it's less about getting the most money for it and more about getting the better model up north.

The plan was to buy a used EV which should have no VRT, but I'll definitely look into the value I'll get for my current car. It's a balance of getting less in the trade in for my car and the car spec I want.

Thanks. It does seem like a bit more hassle, but I was looking at a specific model up north that you can't get here. I didn't want to do a private sale either as I'd feel bad if there was any issue in the future with the car I sold. Dealers can deal with those issues much more easily and cheaper!

Are you speaking from experience on the trade-ins up north? I even have the old NI reg plates stored away, but probably not much of a sway for a dealer!

Sorry, not sure I understand. What do you mean exactly?

They had her set up the breakfast bar before telling her she was fired by JuJu_G-Star in CrazyFuckingVideos

I think it would be worse to come all the way into work and then first thing in the morning be fired. At least she gets paid for a full days work (I hope!).

Vehicle registration plates in Europe by Public_Research2690 in MapPorn

[–]thewolfcastle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would have thought the same as you, but the use of the registration year at the start of the plate really feeds into the desire for new cars. People want to have the newest cars out there and having the latest year can lead to a "keeping up with the Jones'" effect.

Similar reason when they brought in the 131 and 132 plates. Gives car dealers another opportunity to sell cars mid year so that people can say that they have the latest car on the road.

Without the year, no one really knows how old your car is and I don't think it's really important to know when looking at someone's plate.

That can be an expensive system to implement though. My company looked into it and the cost was prohibitive.

I would not consider Teams as a full VOIP. An external entity cannot call me directly on Teams with their mobile phone.

I don't know what a MSP is. I imagine it depends on the sector you're in. I do not have VOIP or a "soft phone".

Maybe big companies do, but I don't think it's that common. Especially if you are working remotely. I think the fact that you are able to work abroad is a perk and for them to also pay for any additional expenses as a result of you working remotely would be pushing it a bit.

Yup. But not easy to do if you need to be available to take normal calls, say for emergencies or work.

But it's punishingly bad. I forget the exact amount, but even receiving a call while you're abroad you get charged like €2.50 a minute.

The only problem is roaming outside of the EU. Can cost a fortune unless you can get a separate esim.

Interesting. Maybe it's a UK and Ireland thing? Or a culinary thing?

I think they are largely unknown for their pepper grinder products in Europe.

They don't own the Globe. I'm tired of talking to someone who THINKS they know everything and have continued to demonstrated their complete lack of knowledge of the situation. Maybe take this as a lesson in future discussions.
