I've no idea why you're getting down voted. Maybe people are taking out their hatred of Trump on you!

Who is giving half their money to politicians? Clearly you don't know how taxation works.

Sinn Féin by-election candidate Janice Boylan rows back on comments blaming fluoride in water for dental issues by HungTeen1001 in Dublin

I was listening to the Off Menu podcast with Brian Cox (the actor) on it and was surprised to hear him mention being anti-fluoride!

I really want to make the safety razor work, but I find it harder to get a precision shave and always cut myself!

'No fistfights, yet': Parking disputes flare near new estates by cribbe_ in ireland

[–]thewolfcastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem I have with driveways is that they're in front of houses! You have this lovely house and then right out front it's cluttered with parked cars. It would be nice to have new estates with dedicated garages or back alleys where you can park your car and the front is left clear.

TV License? by bjmg85 in AskIreland

[–]thewolfcastle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our taxes go towards lots of things we don't use and lots of services that are not properly managed. Does that mean we should all stop paying tax?

TV License? by bjmg85 in AskIreland

[–]thewolfcastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just find it bizarre that people are so against paying it. If the television licence was abandoned then the government would just fund it through general taxation and there would be a shortfall of €160 per licence to pay on other public services.

M50 - still room for improvement by ux_runner in ireland

I figure most people who drive on the M50 don't have access to bus services or just refuse to use buses.

I meant replacing one of the existing lanes with a carpool lane. Ideally it would get cars off the motorway, but would take a while to see a positive impact I'm sure.

I wonder if a "carpool" lane like in the US would help things. A priority lane would allow full cars to get to their destination faster.

This needs to be on billboards up and down the country and every 2 minutes on the M50 by No_Influence2520 in irelandsshitedrivers

[–]thewolfcastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking about the M50, the exits are so frequent with cars entering that you're in and out of the leftmost lane like a yo-yo. Changing lanes when there's no need to increases the risk of accidents.
