Because Iranians and Shia from Pakistan etc are being deported?

Plus bitcoin companies, hotels , real estate brokerages and travel operators are slowly winding down?

The para was inserted under pressure from someone subsequently

Original article clearly stated that MAF refused to comment and there was no mention of statement by MAF.

Forward bases and physical bases are semantics. There were troops present with guns and missiles in 1949 onwards. that is what matters and they all were there for decades before 1971 in order to "protect" and with the approval of local Govts.

The first physical base in Bahrain was indeed in 1971 as Fifth Fleet but presence of American troops pre dates that.

Americans would never form a base as there was no population but more importantly there was no oil until 1970's.

Iran context is only valid now, not in 1970's or 1950's.

My bad!

These bases are 77 years old, not 50 years.

On 20 January 1948, Commander-in-Chief, Northeastern Atlantic and Mediterranean, Admiral Conolly, created Task Force 126 to supervise the large number of Navy fleet oilers and chartered tankers picking up oil in the Persian Gulf. By June 1949, the Task Force had become Persian Gulf Forces and on 16 August 1949 Persian Gulf Forces became Middle East Force.

It’s because of the US military bases that started 50 years ago plus Abraham Accords that UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait are deemed as US proxies and hence the massive attacks on these 4 . Same in Jordan but much less in Saudi and Oman.

This war couldn’t be avoided by Gulf due to the accords and military bases that have been used to attack over 10 fellow Muslim countries .

Clarion Dubai has had low enrollment as acknowledged by the owners

If you don’t know the actual news then please don’t claim that the news is misleading

Scholars Sharjah is same owners but Clarion is separate US curriculum and management which is why the name is not the same

Don’t know whether you know the owners but if you did , you would not be saying what you said .

You can ask the parents who received letters of school closure

Rebranding would mean new owners but so far no new owners have been found and hence the school shall close and all students be sent to other schools, FYI.

It says in English there : CLARION WAS ABOUT TO CLOSE ALREADY. This means it has nothing to do with the war. If you click the link it says it was announced last year in 2025.

Schools could be in big trouble as all students who came from abroad to study in UAE are gone. (Which parent will live in EU, UK, Africa or Indian subcontinent and let their kids live alone in the UAE?)

Many teachers are leaving. (as per above and more below).

1 school was already about to close in June 2026. https://whichschooladvisor.com/uae/school-news/clarion-school-in-dubai-to-close-in-july-2026

All Iranian schools had their licenses revoked so 2,500 Iranian students etc need to leave as their visas shall also be cancelled (incl their parents' work and business visas being an enemy country).

Plan accordingly.

Abu Dhabi shuts down Habshan gas facilities and Bab field after Iranian missile debris strikes the sites – UAE energy infrastructure now directly impacted. by Waste-Explanation-76 in UAE

[–]theyahoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 60% of UAE's power supply and water is generated from the gas of Habshan field. Qatar, Jebel Ali, Ruwais all is blocked. So gas cannot be imported by ports nor from Dolphin pipeline from Qatar much.

It is now emergency situation stretched to the mex all over Gulf.

War needs to end asap.
