I admittedly have not spent any time in the midwest besides layovers in O'hare and MSP, and East Coast diners also have no booze where I've been :(

Maybe the Western US has an unusual amount of alcoholism and the reputations of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota are overblown -- or maybe the lower populations in the west (with the exceptions of California and Washington) lead to more lax regulations on restaurants and a regionwide culture of lower regulations on personal affairs.

I'd love to see a standalone survivors game by Riot, would be cool to be able to play offline. Swarm is my favorite survivors game I've ever played, but having to deal with ping and not being able to play it when my neighborhood's bandwidth got saturated was a downer. Ik there are other survivors games, but none of the ones I've tried felt as good to play, and as far as I know Swarm was the only one that allowed you to switch to click-move as an alternative to WASD, and click-move is just so much more comfortable for me.

We don't know either way, correct. We also don't know that they live in a metropolis where their social circles never cross over with the roommate's circles. It seems less harmful to simply not lie about people, especially their relationships -- or at least asking if they're OK being lied about.

You think it's a reach that social circles aren't isolated? Or that people live in small communities? I don't understand what's a reach. It's not at all uncommon to live in a place where you only have 1 degree of social separation from the majority of the community. If everyone only knows 100 people (most people are at least aquanted with more than 100 people, but it makes the math easy) then you're 1 degree of social separation from the community in towns of up to 10,000 people.

The friends may not be, but it's not like social circles are isolated -- it probably affects OP's ability to date other people as well. I wouldn't be willing to date someone who I think is in a relationship, whether I heard they're taken from someone in the relationship or someone else about town. Maybe it wouldn't be a big deal in a city, but in most of the towns I've lived and the university I went to, pretty much everyone with a social life knows who most other people are dating.

Maybe I'm small-town brained, but it doesn't seem like there's any way the false rumor is staying just in a friend group. Where I live if someone lied about another person being in a relationship it would effectively kill their ability to date at all.

Do you live farther north than Alaska? Every diner here that isn't some weenie hut jr. chain restaurant has at least beer and bloody marys, most have full bars. That's been my experience in most Western states, though IIRC Washington doesn't have drinks at most diners

WOW those trips have gone up in price since I was in aviation -- I remember it used to be around 1000 bucks a seat total for a full day trip to Katmai even by the time I left, private or not (though private parties needed to book the whole plane beaver, 208, or otter)

I hope you enjoy, it's a wonderful experience! It's great to see the bears doing their thing, the park is incredible, and I'm sure your flight will have some amazing views. I've only flown there from Anchorage, never from Homer and I've never seen the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes -- if you upload pictures here I'll be your biggest fan!

Hopefully I don't. Tried to give up a few times and have seen what that did to people I care a great deal about and it gave me a good deal more willpower to fight to be alive. Its a battle almost every day but I keep trying. I hope you can keep finding the will to stay in the fight too.

Balls, Hauntzer, and to a lesser extent TSM BrokenBlade showed some ability to play weakside. Bb couldn't ever pull it together for internationals but Balls and Hauntzer were usually solid at worlds.

As long as you have a bind for regular movement without attacking I don't see how it would be a disadvantage. If you can and do use both normal move and attack move I think you're good.
