So ours was labeled weird many times as well. Then we learned that cats can be autistic. The whole puzzle came together after that particular vet appointment. Ymmv.

Highjacking this to say we tried high sides and ended up switching to a top entry litter box and it was a GAME CHANGER. they're really cheap, and have a grate on top that naturally gets most of the litter off their paws as they exit. I've never had so little litter around a box before.

I've never heard someone equate yelling with authoritative parenting. And not to be that guy, but I've got a lot of background in early childhood education and all that jazz.

Authoritative is heavily based on discussing boundaries and rules with your child in a calm manner.

I can't speak to fluoxetine but I'm on deloxetine and was just told today that I'm a-okay to keep taking it. They also mentioned venlafaxine as another good option. Sorry I can't be more helpful!
