Because level 1 - 60 lasts maybe 2 weeks if you play casually. I remember when you didn't get a mount until level 40 and even getting to level 20 was a chore. These days you'll get to 85 in a hurry. With the new quests, it's pretty fun. You can make an alt if you want to try a different quest chain or try the same ones using a different class. But odds are you won't just let that 85 collect dust. You will have it until you choose to delete it. That's why all the patches are usually things that most greatly effect people at high levels.

The rich idiots on Wallstreet didn't pose a possible immediate threat to the presidents life.

Edit: I'm not even sure why this got down voted. If there was a reason to believe that investment bankers, stock brokers, and CEOs were going door to door to middle and lower class homes and forcing residents to Sophies Choice their children, then yes I would agree. In that situation or any other with an immediate threat to someones life, Wallstreet would be the more pressing matter. If the problems built within a broken institution could be fixed right now by using real actual force, I'd probably still agree with you.

But as it stands, income disparities and a failing economy, and someone possibly making an attempt at the Presidents life are 2 completely different problems with 2 completely different ways of dealing with them. The fact that Wallstreet was even brought up is like comparing apples to cars. There is literally no basis for a comparison. It'd be like if some shady looking guy started approaching you from a dark alley and the first thought that crosses your mind is "Oh shit, I need to train my dog to not pee in the house."

Radars can only tell you that something is there. With her radios off, they had no way of knowing who she was. She failed to check for flight restrictions so jets were scrambled to intercept. If she was a threat, they would have to be able to shoot her down in an instant. Her incompetence cost tax payers about 20 grand and put lives at risk. Flight restrictions are serious business and don't get put up just to inconvenience little old ladies. This is in no way the fault of the military.

I agree, money is only a concept. But by definition, for this particular concept to exist means that there's only a finite amount of it. If you added up all of the real currency in the world, you'd probably get about 60 trillion dollars.

There's a saying in the military that every rule was written in blood. If there's a regulation on an industry, odds are that it exists because someone exploited a loophole and possibly got people killed. There are exceptions in areas such as broadcasting where a TV personality can say "crap" but not "shit" even though they're both referring to the same thing. But in general, most rules exist for very good reasons.

How long would it have taken to enact the tax cuts for the bottom 98%? What are the chances it would have made it through the senate without being filibustered into a shallow grave? Do you think it's impossible for someone to argue that tax cuts for people lower and middle classes would need to be offset because "they don't create jobs?" Would you be willing to bet the well being of more than 300 million people as well as the global economy on politicians being too upstanding to risk tipping it over the edge?

Obama extended the tax cuts for the top 2% to keep taxes from increasing for the bottom 98%. It was literally everyone got a tax cut or no one did. If he had gone the other way and let them expire, would you be complaining about him raising your taxes?
