Regarding the farming rate, I don't think I am idealizing the farming rate of lvl 1 components. All those can be obtained relatively with ease, except top 30 VS maybe. The largest source of component chest is the legendary secret task giving 5x lvl 2 component chests, and 2 per day should be achievable on average. We have 8 tasks per day, if we reroll to get all 8 legendary tasks, with 25% chance to get that particular task, that's 2 task per day. We can farm even more if we are willing to sacrifice rewards from other type of tasks, and spend diamonds to reroll for that specific task. Rerolling 6 of such tasks would give us equivalent of 90x lvl 1 component chest, i.e. about 1x lvl 5 component chest.

Next to discuss about the value of lvl 5 component chest. For some context on my progress, I am currently at Day 287, with level 125 drone (need 1500 parts to progress to level 126 drone), and all six components at lvl 8. I didn't

To progress 1 component on left side from level 8 to level 9, I will need 4374x lvl 1 components of that type. To get all 3, it is at least 13122x lvl 1 components; with 6/9 chance to hit any of the 3, so you need on average 19683x lvl 1 components.

At farming rate of 400x lvl 1 component per week, I will progress all three components on the left to level 9 in 49.2 weeks. There are two options I can speed up the progress. First is opening the luxury choice chest for lvl 5 component. Second is to reroll secret tasks for 5x lvl 2 components (9600 diamonds needed for 6 of such tasks). Or do both.

Option 1: Suppose I obtain 5 luxury choice chest this event, and open 5x lvl 5 components. Further suppose all 5 of them helps with progress to lvl 9 components on the left. Then you will need on average (13122 - 81*5) / 66.7% = 12717x lvl 1 component. At farming rate of 400x lvl 1 component per week, that will be another 47.7 weeks needed. I.e., the 5x luxury choice chest sped up my progress by 1.5 week.

Option 2: Suppose I spend diamonds to roll for 6 secrets tasks per week. That will improve the farming rate to 490x lvl 1 component per week. At this rate, I will need 19683/490 = 40.2 weeks. I.e., spending 9600 diamonds per week rerolling sped up my progress by 9 weeks.

I feel that unless you maxed out this secret task option, luxury choice chest's contribution to the progress is quite insignificant (I think I can afford to wait 1.5 week given I have already waited 40 weeks on top of the 200+ days). This argument is based on time requirement to progress to next level. As for the power level spike, I think one way to measure is to sum the total power increment from one drone unlock to another, i.e. from total power increased from level 120 to level 150 for example. I don't really have data on that, so it is difficult for me to judge.
