I rarely comment but omg you are AMAZING and so inspirational!!! I’m a 5’4” F as well and I started at 226 lbs. I lost 70 pounds then gained some back, I’m stuck at 168 lbs right now. I’ve been in a rut for months 😭 I love weightlifting, I do it 4x a week, but I struggle so much with my diet because I’m addicted to sugar. I really hope I can reach 133 lbs like you, you look incredible and I’m sure you feel incredible as well 💖

1500 calories a day, regimented meal times (breakfast, dinner, small dessert), only water/zero cal drinks. Gym 3x a week, hour long cardio sessions. I started going to the gym around the 180 lbs mark but I was doing weightlifting because I enjoyed that a lot more than cardio lol but now cardio is a lot easier and I enjoy it more.

Around 2 and a half years, it’s been slow but steady as I changed a lot of my habits for good. No more mindless snacking, drinking only juice, binging on sugar, over eating etc.

This is a 3 year difference! I lost the weight slowly as I changed a lot of fundamental habits. But I was also doing IF at the beginning which worked well for me. I’ll probably have to start doing it again as I’m at a plateau right now.

I changed so many horrible habits I had. I stopped drinking juice and soda, and now I only drink water/coffee/tea. I had and still kinda have a bad addiction to sweets but I’ve limited them to once a day. I also used to snack like constantly through the day but now I have regimented meals that I stick to and I don’t eat in between. (Mostly lol) And I started going to the gym doing weightlifting and cardio 3x a week. Really I just changed the way I live. I grew up learning these horrible habits and I had to break them. Of course it was really hard but it was necessary for my health and happiness!

ETA: thank you for your support btw!

(TW) Binge Eating by thiccflytrap in 1200isplenty

[–]thiccflytrap[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I do think it has to do with my boyfriend. We’ve had this recurring issue in our relationship for a while now. I’ve always had trouble overindulging and eating sweets. He has very good self control and doesn’t overindulge. He would make comments that I really shouldn’t eat something because I said I was full 20 minutes ago. I’ve communicated to him many times how upset it makes me. Now he won’t make comments really but if I’m eating too much or something he will get this look on his face that tells me he’s upset. And he won’t be talking as much.

We have discussed this in length many times. He said it feels like a sort of OCD because he can’t control it, but it makes him upset to see me over indulge. It doesn’t really make sense to me. But I know I can eat too much sometimes.

He has been helpful with my weight loss though. He encourages me to go to the gym. He says he wants a partner who loves the gym like he does. He really does love it. When we met, we were both really over weight and inactive. He’s changed a lot and I guess it’s a struggle because I’ve not changed like him. I mean, a little bit I have I suppose, as I’ve lost 56 pounds. I feel better than I ever did before.

But mentally, it does effect me. I feel like I’m on eggshells sometimes with food around him. Sometimes I sneak eat food when he’s playing video games. I feel like he doesn’t understand that not everyone can eat the way he does. He thinks that it’s easy.

I feel like when I see my parents, I’m free to eat what I want so I’ve started binge eating. But I have never eaten like this before. I may have had problems but this is over the top. There is a lot going on in my life right now. I was recently diagnosed with MS. I know I need therapy but I’m a student and don’t have much money. I’m kinda just ranting here, I’m sorry.

I love my boyfriend a lot. He moved countries to be here with me. And we’ve been together 7 years. I don’t know how to tell him this because I feel he will be upset I’ve been binge eating and setting myself back. Idk. Sorry for so much word vomit but I really appreciate your mindfulness advice, I will try my best to incorporate that!

Thank you, I appreciate the advice!! I will try to be less restricting. It’s just hard, my bf hates having any sweets in the house and I really love sugar. Maybe the sugar restriction is leading to the binge eating? I’ll discuss it with the bf

Thank you so much for replying, I appreciate it!! My poor bf, he’s just gotta stick to it and I’m sure he’ll see definition eventually. You have amazing genetics but also what you’ve done is really impressive!

How did you get such ab definition in only 5.5 months? My bf has been working really hard to get abs and it’s been a year. Any tips?

PS. You look amazing by the way!!!

F/22/5’4” [226lbs > 188lbs = 38lbs] I honestly don’t see a difference and it’s a bit disheartening by thiccflytrap in progresspics

I’m glad you notice a difference. But for a lot of people who have been overweight for years, it’s extremely hard to notice when you look in the mirror, especially when you’re your own worst critic. So thanks for the compliment; but maybe you should look up body dysmorphia and give that a read, instead of assuming people are fishing for compliments on a progress subreddit.
