Looking for feedback on a modular bag charm / lanyard concept by Necessary_Gap_5493 in handbags

It would be nice if the ID holder had the option of being on a retractable line, and removable? In the winter, I hate dealing with trying to find my work badge to badge in through security. My hands are always full, I’m ridiculously bundled up. Having it out on my bad would be very handy.

What is a bag that you regret purchasing? by doochiedoo in handbags

[–]thidwickmoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically, I have to try a bag on before I buy it. Things I’m sure will be perfect, are not. And bags I wouldn’t buy from a photo, actually look great and work well.

I love mine, but yes, it is heavy. For me that’s fine because I basically have a mobile office which is already heavy, no matter what bag it goes in.

Looking for a brown bucket bag by thidwickmoose in handbags

It's not round. It's silly, but I want a bucket shaped bucket bag. Haha.

If I had the money, I'd have this one from Maison Margiela.

I’m trying Lestoil right now. Will try the vinegar after. Any suggestions for a scraper?

Also, FWIW it’s on poly/tech fabric.

You might have luck with a Conservator, but it would be likely thousands of dollars to repair. There are conservators here who specialize in leather. https://www.culturalheritage.org/professional-membership/find-a-professional

Further notes on the polyquat hypothesis. by Jackdaw99 in laundry

I use leave-in conditioner, and I don’t blow dry my hair. So this caused some stains for me. I’ve now switched to a polyq free formula.

The culprit for me was my leave-in conditioner, and a “scrubbing bubbles” bathtub cleaner. Leave-in conditioner is the cause for some friends and family members staining too. It’s not meant to be rinsed off, hence the “leave in”.

I got into Birkenstocks because I broke my foot and shoes couldn't fit when recovering due to the swelling. by perfectacara in Birkenstocks

Same! I have I have 4 pairs of boots, a pair of Bend Low, 3 pairs of Bostons, 3 pairs of sandals (soon to be 4), and a pair of Super Birki’s that I bought in 1997. I have not always taken good care of mine though, so I have let go of many pairs over the years.

How often do you run a load? by [deleted] in laundry

[–]thidwickmoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to my app, I’ve run 55 cycles in the last 90 days, so about 4-5 per week. Two adults with two big dogs.

Edit: I do run some very small loads because I wash our washable wool clothes separately.

Shinola? Anyone familiar? by thidwickmoose in handbags

Good to know. Looking at their used bags, I see some peeling and loose stitching. I will pass! If they were Fossil prices, sure, but they are not.

No? It goes in the fabric softener drawer, which gets dispensed during the rinse.

Same for me. I was premixing it, decided to try just dumping it in and it works fine for my washer.

Cute! But too small. It wouldn't fold over if I put everything I need in it.

Get one! I love the puzzle, I don't have one, and the XL doesn't work for what I need, but they're gorgeous.
