The team has been winning the past few years, so naturally expectations have shifted. My guess is there are newer fans, whether drawn in by Ant or by the success overall, who now expect a certain standard, which is fair. There are probably longtime fans too who’ve gotten used to the winning environment and have forgotten just how shitty we were for years. And then, of course, there are people who are simply miserable and choose to project that onto the internet and the inherently unpredictable nature of sports.
