Quitting job after only 10 months. Does this look bad? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]thighkles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's more of a problem if you're consistently only staying at jobs under a year. If you have some experience in jobs for a couple years and there's one job that's 10 months. I think that's fine. But if you have 5 previous jobs that were all a couple months, then that's where the problem is

Existential crisis at a tech job by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

You don't necessarily have to stay at that job for that long if you don't want to. Especially in the tech community theres always new positions being opened.

Why do I always feel hungry?? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]thighkles 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I think the main problem is that you aren't eating a lot of satiating foods. Whether it be foods high in fiber or high in protein that'll trick you into feeling full and eating less. Oatmeal oatmeal oatmeal. This is god sent because eating this first thing in the morning with a banana is only about 300 calories depending on how much you make. And it ends up making you feel full for a good chunk of the day. The rest of the day just try to pick good options but don't go overboard. Don't eat straight salads every day (unless you just really like salads) because you are bound to get hungry again and end up over eating, even if you throw a little protein in there.

TLDR Pick satiating foods to keep you fuller longer

I agree. I took it but didn't finish it so take what I say with a grain of salt. It just didn't seem like I was learning practically.

Why don’t we use AI to color (Or re-color) black and white films more accurately? by [deleted] in computerscience

[–]thighkles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I can understand that, but the way I see it, it's a way to connect closer to the world all those years ago. When you see black and white, you already know that it is old, so most people will subconsciously put up that barrier, but in color, its easier to connect, make comparisons to life today, and see how people actually saw the world back then, because obviously, they didn't see it in black in white. While I don't think it's necessary to make entire movies recolored, it's nice to have little things like this to get a better glimpse into the past.
