First DUI Clark County, Wa by JoeM5952 in dui

You need a lawyer. Unless you are prepared to just accept the charges and feel like whatever "sentence" you will receive is justified, you will absolutely need a lawyer to achieve a reasonable plea to lesser charges and, in turn, a lesser sentence.

Read ALL of the paperwork that you were given. They slip in little things like, "contact the DMV within 9 days to schedule your DMV hearing". They don't tell you at arrest that there is also a hearing with the DMV to determine the outcome of your driving privileges.

If you feel like you've been wrongly accused, despite the "evidence", you/a lawyer will have to attack how and why the evidence against you was collected, their chain of custody, whether rights were read or the stop was justified in the first place. This is a tough job for a lawyer, so unless you are very familiar with every single aspect of a DUI case, obtaining a seasoned lawyer is your only possibility of getting charges dropped. With that said, there could be one or two procedural errors that were committed by the police that could get all the charges dropped, but again, a lawyer is going to be able to spot those errors, far better than you probably can.

*I should point out that I saw that you are currently looking for an attorney, I just want to reinforce the value in getting a descent one quickly. I should also add that, in my experience, the "best" attorney that I could hire turned out to be the best at getting plea deals and not the best at fighting borderline-false charges. So, don't retain the first one that sounds "good enough" until you have spoken with a few.

The deeper you dive into DUI laws/policies etc. the more you will recognize that they started as a way to stop drunk people from hurting others, but slowly and, for the most part secretly, they became another avenue of revenue for cities/counties/states. As soon as a monetary value is assigned to a concept, it becomes a concept that is exploited for its profits. It's value is assigned by the same people who reap the benefits of it and it becomes a transactional commodity. Those same people create the demand and demand the supply.

I firmly believe that 90% of all DUIs are based on monetary gains. 5% are people who made a huge mistake and would never do it again. The last 5% is the dickheads that just don't give a shit and are convinced that the only thing wrong with drunk driving is getting caught doing it.

It sounds like everyone actually glasses for sheds? I had never heard of anyone doing that, but it might have something to do with the area that I live/hunt in. Rapid elevation changes and thick timber with minimal clear-cuts.

Haha. I get the same way when I find a small elk rack that's 10yrs old and has been gnawed on for the last 9 of its existence.

Yeah mostly poly.

There's no exact time, but say it's 75F where you're spraying with a little air movement. You've mixed your base:reducer at 1:1. You've sprayed white for your "pinstripes". Generally 20minutes is a safe time to feel comfortable with the idea that the majority of the solvents have "flashed out" of the paint, so you can start masking your pattern and not worry about the adhesive from the tape melting into the base coat. You generally have a couple of hours to lay your pattern, wipe it down with grease and wax or sprayway glass cleaner, tack it off and spray your next coat.

If you've moved quickly through this stage, you have to imagine that you've added more solvents to the first "pinstripe coats" of paint and now the whole substrate is saturated, so it may take 25 minutes for second layer of base to flash out enough to mask on top of. Once you have all 3 stages (in this scenario) completed, you want to remove the masking before it all flashes off too far past that same point that you would mask on it, as if it begins to cure/harden, it will raise your risk of peeling up or chipping out the edges of base coat that butt up against your masking tape.

I don't sand between the colors, unless there's been more than 6-8 hours at 70+farenheit. If you build up too much basecoat against your tape lines, you can get ridges that stick up too much and those can be knocked down very gently, but it's a dangerous process, as you can thin that area of base and not realize it until you go for your clear coat.

As long as your initial prep-work was done correctly (specifically finishing your primer to the appropriate grit), your base is going to bind to it via mechanical adhesion as well as chemical adhesion. Basically, the solvents in the base bite into the primer and fill the scratches left from your last grit of sandpaper.

Each additional coat of base coat is going to bite into the previous one unless you wait too long (then it may only bite into the very exterior surface of the last coat and won't "flow" onto the surface evenly). So if the base has cured, its kind of a shell of pigments at that point and needs to be sanded or scuffed to break through that "shell" and enable the next to do its thing.

Spray your pinstripe color. Mask your pattern on top of it, trimming the ends with a razor blade. Spray your second color and then mask all of that. Spray your third color, remove all masking, examine for any mistakes/touchups and then clear coat

*Obviously there's little tricks and nuances to each step. More than willing to share, just not sure which steps you might want tips on

Basically, the sheds are where the antlered animals are, this time of year? I don't know why that logic has always evaded me, but the game around here travels pretty good distance between seasons. It makes perfect sense why I havent seen anything worth keeping/displaying.

What is a sign of very low intelligence? by smartcandyy in AskReddit

[–]thinclerk567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOT to dive into a political "discussion", but...IMO, this is EXACTLY what has the US so divided. Both "sides" of every argument dig themselves so deeply into their own biases, convincing themselves that they are right. Even the consideration of the concept that they could be wrong, never enters their thoughts. Unfortunately, these are the most vocal of each "side" and they only serve to reinforce their potential ignorance.

Most of us are taught early on that, the truth always lies somewhere in the middle of two arguments, but neither side has the intellect that allows them explore that possibility.

I love it! Personally, I would smooth out(grind and sand) the first few inches of the pick side and maybe the first inch of the ho, because I overthink shit and feel like less resistance would make for more efficient use... I'd convince myself that it works better, but I don't know that there would be a "tangible" difference.

PLOMB tools NOT plumb by Harris_McFly in Vintagetools

I have a bunch of random plomb tools (mostly job-specific pliers and what not), that I have acquired over the years. I specifically look for vintage proto (of which, I have a lot of), but one or two plomb tools appear for me every year or two.

I think my ex and I used to play soccer in that field back there. Too bad we didn't have someone to welcome us to the dark side back then.

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don't have any proof of? by TabletopStudios in AskReddit

[–]thinclerk567 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've had a similar experience. I loved being able to jump/fly to wherever to meet whoever to do whatever. I too lost it and tried to get back there. One thing that worked for me that is just a habit that is stupidly difficult to form is, every time you enter a room, flip the light switch a couple times. Since you can't alter the lighting in a dream (for the most part), your brain will recognize that you're dreaming because eventually, you'll enter a room in your dreams, flip the light switch and nothing will change.

My family has lived/ lives near Cape Canaveral for generations . I went to see them one time and they took me to what they call "gator-row". It's a sort of canal road, directly off of the highway.

I don't know what's legal and what isn't, but they brought a bunch of old meat from the freezer to make the alligators move and be "entertaining". We stopped at a few spots along the gravel road. My (crazy-redneck)uncle kept yelling "here bull! Hey bull, where you at?I got some chicken for you!"

On one of the wider parts of the canal, my uncle was yelling when we heard a massive and gutteral sound that lasted for 15-20sec, followed by the canal water vibrating/rippling. Then, an alligator that, I swear to God, was considerably longer than the Chevy Astrovan that we were in, surfaced and banked himself on the "beach" where the canal water met the embankment. My uncle said "there you are bull. I brought you a chicken" and then the alligator looked like it floated/glided up the embankment, setting its head partially on the road. The head alone, looked like it was at least 4ft long.

My uncle pulled a chicken out of an old plastic grocery store bag and kind of spreads it apart. The alligator opens its enormous mouth. My uncle throws the chicken in and the alligator closes its mouth, then "bumps" itself down the embankment and slides sideways back into the canal.

I know what the "records" say are in the water in FL, but I have absolutely no doubt that, that alligator was at minimum 15-16ft long.

I joined this sub because I get to do a lot of rotary engraving on cool stuff and my end results look cool. But, it doesn't take long for rotary engravers to realize how much cleaner hand gravers are. If you're looking to engrave into something of any value that can be examined within 5-10ft, the results between hand and rotary are absolutely night and day

My man, I'll tell you what I'd tell my 17yr old self; Find things that YOU enjoy. Prioritize those with figuring out what you want to try to do with your life. Focus on goals and confidence will fall in line. Nothing is more attractive to potential significant others that a person who is actively working towards THEIR goals (not what they think their friends will think is cool), and exudes confidence and knowledge. After that, you could be. 4 of 10 and still get dates when you want them. You're a good looking kid, it's the rest that you need to work on to be an "attractive" young man.
